Alfa Romeo has discontinued production of V6 "Busso" engines in October 2004. The remaining stocks are intended to fill orders for GT model until a perspective but yet not approved re-styling of GT model will replace present line in 2007.

V6 engines mounted on project 939 and Brera are JTS direct injection units designed purposely for next generation models and share with GM the basement section and few minor parts.

Given you're info is half right - Busso are out of question - now, please, give us more insight on the other half. What engines would 939/159 and Brera be powered by? Isuzu?

Please, give us a break. If you're serious and think you've got some teal informations, then explain thoroughly, otherwise, cut the crap with it, ok.

No offense meant, of course, but we're kinda serious on this matter and some of us have good grip on piece of infos that you just blasted.

Sai mio cuggino che batte fuori da c.so marconi, mi ha detto che LCDM gli ha offerto un bigmac e gli ha parlato di un bel Busso 3500 jts con 350cv a 6000g/m e 380nm che fa circa 20km/l e va a metano, con emissioni 00 (come la farina) ed una erogazione che sembrano 3 doppiocorpo da 50!!

ragazzi io sono della provincia di lecce e studio a lecce città...ogni mattina intravedo le 939 camuffate;sono larghissime e con un frontale stupendo,e tutte con il doppio scarico,e x di più alla guida ci sono collaudatori donne...

forse ho intravisto una brera,ma il colore non si capiva,in quanto son camuffate.

well if your evidence is a "The Car Connection" article dating back to the end of 2003...

The issue is simple. Alfa Romeo is not a GM brand, so Wagoner could not say whether Alfa Romeo was to get HFV6 units or not. He has no control over Alfa strategies, and he can't announce that GM is going to supply another company... it's an announcement that Fiat Auto must make first. This kind of stuff is usually contemplated in Non-Disclosure Agreements between companies.
