Allow me to answer ...no its not true!!! The vtec was used in F1 by Honda and then used in toad cars and bikes, same thing with the PGM-F1... anyway Fiat does not need the Vtec because the Uniair is going to revoluzionize the engines.

A friend of mine tells that vtec is nothing important.For example if you look the political version of 2.0 vtec in Accord it has 155hp and 190nm when 2.0Jts has 165hp and 206nm of torque.If alfa romeo used the base of Jts and did the same modulations like the 2.000cc version in typeR it will boost 15hp and 25nm more.
