Konec všem spekulacím a nekvalitním špionážním snímkům. Nová Škoda Fabia je tady. Máme první kvalitní foto a detailni info.

Škoda Fabia nové generace zůstává i nadále malým kompaktem v pravém slova smyslu. Délka nepřekročila po vzoru konkurentů čtyři metry. Fabia II nyní bude měřit na délku 3 992 mm (+ 22 mm proti Fabii I), což z ní udělá jednoho z nejmenších představitelů tohoto segmentu. Na šířku bude nová Fabia měřit 1 642 mm (- 4 mm) a na výšku 1 495 (+ 47 mm). Rozvor prozatím není znám.

Jak je vidět z prostých čísel, Fabia bude o něco delší, o něco užší a o něco vyšší. Jak budou tyto změny působit v reálu, uvidíme za pár měsíců.

Větší změny se odehrály pod pátými dveřmi. Zde se nachází zavazadlový prostor se základním objemem 300 l, který lze zvětšit až na solidních 1 163 l. Tyto parametry znamenají, že Fabia nově nabídne o 40 l více zavazadelníku v základním provedení a až o 147 l více při sklopení zadních sedaček.

Motory

Pod kapotou se rovněž neodehrála žádná revoluce. Část motorů prošla jen mírnými inovacemi a k tomu byly přidány některé zcela nové.

Benzínové jednotky začínají se třemi válci, objemem 1,2 l a výkonem 44 kW (60 k). Silnější varianta HTP bude disponovat výkonem 51 kW (70 k). Poté již nastupuje známý čtyřválec 1,4 16V o výkonu 63 kW (86 k). Vrcholem v benzínové nabídce bude čtyřválec 1,6 16V o výkonu 77 kW (105 k).

Všechny motory budou vybaveny pětistupňovou manuální převodovku, která pošle výkon na přední kola. Pouze nejsilnější benzínový motor bude alternativně vybaven i šestistupňovým automatem.

Nabídka naftových motorů pak zůstala beze změn. Škoda vypustila jen nejsilnější čtyřválec 1,9 TDI z verze RS a ponechala tříválcové TDI o objemu 1,4 l s výkony 51 a 59 kW, 70, resp. 80 k. K tomu přidala i čtyřválec 1,9 TDI o výkonu 77 kW (105 k).

Naftové motory budou vybaveny opět pětistupňovým manuálem, bez možnosti přikoupit si automat. Ten se sice do nabídky dostane, ale až později. Dva nejsilnější nafťáky zato bude možné pořídit s filtrem pevných částic.

Výbavy

S novou generací Fabie přináší Škoda i nové prvky výbavy. Ty sice nejsou tak pokročilé, jako nabízí konkurenti, přesto si zaslouží pozornost. Fabia bude nově, na přání, vybavena automatickou převodovkou Tiptronic, automatickou klimatizací Climatronic, přípravou pro telefon s podporou Bluetooth a audiosystémem, který umožní připojení externích zařízení.

Nová Fabia se oficiálně představí na březnovém autosalonu v Ženevě a poté bude bez prodlení uvedena do prodeje. Do té doby Škoda jistě přinese další upřesňující informace.

The new Skoda Fabia is characterized by all of the core values, which have made more than 1.5 million customers buy the first generation – and this has been further developed even further by Skoda. In its class, the Fabia is the vehicle with the largest knee and headroom in the rear. The occupants in the front traditionally enjoy a great deal of space.

The total length of the new Fabia has, thanks to the new design of the front bumper, increased. With its external measurements (3992 mm x 1642 mm x 1498 mm) the new Skoda Fabia hatchback is among the largest in its class. The effectively usable space offers the occupants more space both in the front seats and in the rear. The boot has a basic capacity of 300 litres, and, when the rear seats are folded down, increases to 1163 litres.

In addition to its extraordinary reliability, spaciousness, its excellent driving properties, the safe construction and the outstanding price-performance ratio, there is also a wide range offered in bodywork external colours with its fresh design and coupled with a combination of high-quality materials and colours in the interior.

The Fabia also exhibits further improvements in the sector of safety. New: passengers on the front and the rear seats are protected by head airbags. In the rear, a child’s seat can be affixed with a top-tether belt which limits the forward movement of the upper part of the child’s seat in the event of a head-on collision.

State-of-the-art technologies, such as, for example, virtual reality, were applied in the development and the construction of the automobile and its equipment. And with this new model, Skoda is also providing the possibility of ordering the six-gear automatic Tiptronic transmission for the smallest of its models instead of the five-gear manual transmission, electronically controlled Climatronic air conditioning, or head airbags. In the field of communication technologies, the new Fabia provides a modern, innovative preparation for the GSM telephone with Bluetooth, or the audio system with the possibility of connecting external units such as MP3 players or iPod.

A total of seven engines will be available fort he new Fabia – four petrol and three diesel engines. Both of the popular three-cylinder petrol engines now have increased performance and provide the car with more elasticity.

- 1.2 12V HTP/51 kW - 1.4 TDI PD/59 kW (also with DPF)

- 1.4 16V/63 kW - 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW (also with DPF)

- 1.6 16V/77 kW (also with automatic transmission)

The world premiere of the new generation of the Skoda Fabia will take place at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2007. This will be followed by its launch in the European markets. Production of the bodywork versions, the Fabia Estate and the Fabia Sedan of the first generation will be continued.
