scommettiamo che con 14k e la mia me la lasciano?

Stesso prezzo in cui in bmw (ma anche dagli importatori più cari) si trovano 320d touring di fine 2007 nememeno troppo accessoriati.

Cmq sul paragone alfa-volvo...........sottoscrivo in pieno ACS e non il sottotifo:) di alcuni, sottoscrivo ACS anche quando dice che fiat senza alfa per lancia avrebbe continuato a fare un ottimo lavoro.

Se dobbiamo però vedere la singola realtà italiana come spesso facciamo è vero che volvo negli ultimi anni ha perso molto come immagine e posizionamento medio del venduto ma la realtà italiana per volvo è marginale per alfa no:):)

volvo negli anni 80 vendeva sensibilmente meno di oggi, oggi fa 400K ed oltre in tutto il mondo con una gamma particolare e senza utilitarie, vendendo fordghia a prezzi quasi da audi e con ottima immagine nei mercati "ricchi" ed una presenza in USA decisamente interessante e soprattutto consolidata.

Alfa vende la metà rispetto agli anni 80 nonostante sia anche scesa di posizionamento con il seg.B, non è + da 15 anni nel mercato USA, dove cmq ha lasciato tanta nostalgia quanta ruggine...

Se Alfa Romeo vendesse 400K auto in tutto il mondo potrebbe permettersi in listino anche modelli con caratteristiche decisamente + consone al Marchio, e ford avrebbe da sempre la banca organi per fare ciò.

Di contro, i sabaudi avrebbero potuto concentrarsi su lancia, tanto parlano la stessa lingua nativa :D:D:D e ne avrebbero giovato anche della concorrenza che sarebbe nata, dovendo necessariamente contrastare il nemico sul piave. Ed avremmo forse ancora una rivalità Alfisti-Lancisti come negli anni 60/70.

Detto questo sottoscrivo (in linea teorica) quanto asserisci poiché l'assenza dell'Alfa nel Gruppo FIAT e la concorrenza interna di un Gruppo Ford-Alfa avrebbe quasi sicuramente sortito gli effetti da te auspicati ma, alla luce di come si stanno evolvendo i fatti oggi, non è detto che sarebbe stato tutto oro.

Geely gunning for Volvo

According to CCT sources, Geely automobiles maybe one of the closest buyers for troubled brand, Volvo.

Ford top man, Mr. William Clay Ford Jr, and Geely’s charismatic CEO, Mr. Li Shu Fu have had high level talks recently regarding the sale of Volvo to Geely. Mr. Li has reportedly been beaming about his meetings, and dinners with Ford top brass, and enjoys showing his photograph of him and William Clay together off to staff and visitors alike.

From what our sources tells us, Geely have put together the funds, and backing, required to buy Volvo from Ford, but will the Chinese government play ball with Geely’s big aspirational plans? The central government may ultimately put the brakes on Geelys plans, as the other big state owned car companies such as FAW, SAIC, and Dongfeng, may get a little jealous of an upstart privately owned auto manufacturer like Geely grabbing hold of Volvo. Ultimately, it may be that Chang’an, Volvo’s JV partner, who would be the most affected by any Volvo sale to Geely.

With Geely ready with the readies, could Volvo become part of the Geely Empire within a few weeks? We’ll have to wait until mid February before we hear anymore about the Volvo acquisition.

Che peccato, saperla in mano ai cinesi era l'ultima cosa che volevo. Non so, ma se dovesse accadere (e direi che è inevitabile visto che i cinesi sono gli unici attualmente a potersi permettere un affare del genere) mi crollerebbe un mito, semplicemente non sarebbe più la stessa volvo... Forse sono io paranoico, ma non credo che le guarderei con gli stessi occhi...

Siceramente se i cinesi ci mettono i soldi, ma engineering e produzione restano svedesi, per me non cambierà nulla. Anzi, speriamo che l'indipendenza da Ford porti a fare auto maggiormente caratterizzate.

Ma da chi prenderanno i pianali e i motori? continuerà una fornitura Ford come con jag/LR penso, ma nel lungo periodo? O chi se la compra (cinese) fà il salto e comincia a produrre per le sue auto piattaforme in grado da fare da base anche per Volvo oppure non so..

Secondo Autocar, Renault sarebbe ancora interessata a Volvo...

French car maker Renault has held talks with Ford about a possible purchase of Volvo cars, reports Reuters.

The two companies met last autumn to discuss a possible deal, but apparently the talks ended after the parties failed to agree on the value of the Swedish car maker.

Renault and Ford have held further discussions since then.

Renault and Volvo came very close to merging in late 1993. Opposition from within Volvo and from the Sweden Shareholder’s Association eventually halted the tie-up.

The two companies were seen as a good fit, because Renault’s centre of gravity was in smaller cars, and Volvo’s in larger, more premium-priced, vehicles.

Last autumn’s talks might also explain why Renault suddenly put plans for a new generation of large cars on ice.

If Renault did buy Volvo cars, it would be probably be on the basis that it is absorbed by the French maker, rather than becoming part of the wider Renault-Nissan alliance.

Volvo has just announced losses of $1.5bn in the wake of collapsing sales and it’s thought that Ford (which itself lost $6bn in the fourth quarter of 2008 ) is keen to shift its subsidiary in exchange for ready cash.

Geely cleared for Volvo purchase??

As predicted by CCT earlier this week, Geely look to be in the clear to purchase Volvo from Ford. Initial rumors indicated that Geely had the go ahead from their supporting banks, but were lacking in moral support from the central government. (It is rumoured in certain circles that the central government are mildly embarrased of Geely)

Geely today received permission to study the possibilities of acquiring Volvo from China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The NDRC is essentially a central government organ that oversees economic policy for the PRC, and oversees any large investment by Chinese firms into foreign companies

Since the news broke in the mainstream Western media of Geely’s approval to buy the stricken auto maker, Geely officials came out to deny any purchase of Volvo. Geely are also reportedly working on other acquisitions, but these remain secret.

The acquisition of Volvo by Geely would mean that Geely would get hit by short term losses in the USA and European markets, but in the long run Geely would gain a massive leap over its nearest competitors with the addition of Volvo technology, which would bring Geelys own made cars upto (and beyond) world standards within a very very short time.
