Fiat zal voor wat betreft de opvolger van de Doblò niet zelf het wiel gaat uitvinden. In plaats van een eigen nieuw model te ontwikkelen, geeft de Italiaanse fabrikant er de voorkeur aan om de showrooms te vullen met een eigen versie van de nieuwe Citroën Berlingo en Peugeot Partner. Een logische keuze, want bij 3 bestelwagenlijnen (Fiorino, Scudo en Ducato) werkt Fiat reeds intensief samen met PSA dus waarom zou je dit voor de tussenliggende schakel dan ook niet gaan doen?

Het is niet bekend hoeveel moeite Fiat zal nemen om de nieuwe Doblò optisch van het Franse duo te laten verschillen. Als we naar de andere bestelwagenmodellen van Fiat en PSA kijken, dan zal het onderscheidt zich beperken tot grille, koplampen en logo.
