1200 kg for a luxurious supercar is too much light, isn't it ?

Not necessarily. It depends on the materials that are used, and the way in which the materials are used. The MF1 will be very interesting in this respect, as it does not use carbon-fibre as the main material. Don't forget that the car has been engineerd by a Formula 1 engineer (who is still active), who has many years of experience in making light weight cars. The car is also VERY aerodynamic (based on teardrop principles), so will not be blown around when travelling at 400+ km/h. The Enzo only weighs 1365kg (1255kg dry weight).

A lot of thought has really gone into the design of the car, how to make it as light weight as possible, without harming the stability. The car has a very low centre of gravity, and good downforce.

Regarding the luxury part - the car will be particularly comfortable, as the interior has been designed with human biomechanics as a major factor.

Look! Up on Fiorano! It's Super Enzo!

MAC MORRISON

Posted Date: 5/10/05

Ferrari raised eyebrows in Maranello by running this modified Enzo supercar around the company’s Fiorano test track. Additional front air intakes, a heavily revised rear end and relocated exhaust outlets distinguish the car from the version Ferrari ceased building in 2004.

Speculation—based in part on the revised rear end and the flames seen licking from the exhaust during testing—suggests a car with an engine more powerful and larger than the original’s 6.0-liter, 660-hp V12, possibly a 6.5- or 6.8-liter V12.

Does this indicate Ferrari may assemble more Enzos in addition to the produced tally of 399? Don’t count on it, says our Ferrari insider, who tells us the car is merely part of Ferrari’s standard technology development program and is from the original batch of production Enzos.

Sul quel forum c'è chi dice che potrebbe/dovrebbe essere una Enzo modificata su indicazione di un cliente, forse per partecipare ad alcune competizioni GT... ma non si sa di più
