Nissan GT-R: per Porsche 25" più lenta al 'Ring

Porsche has accused Nissan of cheating in the GT-R's record bid at the Nurburgring racetrack.

Porsche has just run its own back-to-back tests with the Japanese company's GT-R supercar and says it could not get within 25 seconds of Nissan's claimed record time of seven minutes 29 seconds in April.

It also found its 911 Turbo and GT2 were both quicker than the GT-R.

"This wonder car with 7:29 could not have been a regular series production car," says August Achleitner, the 911 product chief for Porsche, speaking to the CARSguide at the Australian press preview of the latest 911 Cabrio.

"For us, it's not clear how this time is possible. What we can imagine with this Nissan is they used other tyres."

He believes the time achieved by Nissan with ex-Formula One driver Toshio Suzuki would only be possible with a semi-slick race-style tyre.

Achleitner says Porsche took a standard GT-R, running on regular road tyres, and ran it around the Nurburgring within two hours of its own cars, on the same day with exactly the same weather conditions.

He says there was no tweaking of any kind and the GT2 and Turbo both ran on regular Porsche road tyres, the Michelin Sport Cup.

"We bought the car in the US. We drove a GT-R with new tyres," he says.

Achleitner was initially protective of the exact lap times, which were run during a program when Porsche also compared its upcoming four-door Panamera with a range of potential rivals.

But he eventually revealed his team clocked the GT-R at 7 minutes 54 seconds, with the 911 Turbo managing 7:38 and the GT2 getting down to 7:34.

The laps were not run by Porsche's usual hot-lap specialist, former world rally champion and race winner Walter Rohrl, but one of the company's chassis development engineers who is an expert on the Nurburgring.

Achleitner says the back-to-back comparison was run because Porsche was concerned by Nissan's claims for the GT-R, which is heavier than the 911 with similar power.

"The Nissan is a good car. I don't want to make anything bad with my words," he says.

"It's a very consistent car. But this car is about 20 kilos heavier than the Turbo . . ."

In the end, Porsche believes its testing has achieved the right lap times for the Skyline GT-R and benchmarked it against its own 911 heroes in the right context.

"For us it has been clearly the result. This technical puzzle now fits together. With the other numbers we had problems to understand it," he says.

Facciamo una colletta, prendiamo le 2 auto in questione, me le date, le vado a testare..e poi vi dico chi mente...

Comunque sarebbe davvero interessante un TEST imparziale approfondito (con un tester in grado di sfruttare al massimo delle possibilità il nurb, la 911, e la GTR.... e che non abbia niente da guadagnarci a far vincere una delle due)

Ma non ci dormite proprio la notte per sta GT-R eh.....

se una casa come porsche si espone così.... beh... credo che dopo un'eventuale smentita arriverà una dimostrazione quasi scientifica

anche perché da tutti i chiacchieroni sostenitori della gt-r non è arrivata nessuna spiegazione scientifica di quel tempo, solo becero tifo

si è gia ampiamente dimostrato che su altre piste la nissan gt-r le prende dalle supercar europee , per cui è solo particolarmente adattata e veloce al Ring , ma non la piu veloce in assoluto su tutte le piste

E poi bisogna vedere quanti siano in realta i cavalli reali della gt-r , infatti in un paio di test è risultata avere 510/520 cavalli che son 40 in piu di quelli dichiarati

Ed infine potrebbe anche essere la sportiva piu veloce della storia ma per me rimarra sempre di una bruttezza imbarazzante

solo che quel 7.28 puzza un tantino...

....intendiamoci, una Gtr ha girato in quel tempo al Ring solo che al 99% era un pò "speciale"

indizi??....

1)troppa differenza prestazionale nelle varie prove tra un esemplare e l'altro....quindi grossa probabilità di unità preparate ad hoc;

2) un pilota autorevole 8), provata la Gtr, ha detto che QUELL'ESEMPLARE non sarebbe stato MAI in grado di girare al ring in QUEL tempo;

3) La Mc12 pilotata da uno con le PALLE ha fatto 7.24, la Zonda idem, la Enzo 7.25 e via dicendo....ora....con tutta la stima per i Jappi e per Suzuki....parliamo di ALTRE macchine;

e poi e poi.......

Continuate a fare congetture basate su elementi che non hanno connessione certa tra di loro, nè tanto meno sono direttamente proporzionali.

E perchè mai porsche dovrebbe dire la verità e nissan mentire? su cosa vi basate per dire che le parole della tedesca sono più autorevoli e meritiere di quelle della nipponica?

C'eravate anche voi il giorno del "falso record"? siete parenti di Suzuki? siete il benzinaio del ring? no...ergo....basta con sta manfrina......spippolatevi sulle porsche e vivete sereni!

mi sa che questo topic sarà molto a rischio flame..

e prima che intervenga matteo b tolgo il disturbo io, visto che ultimamente andiamo quasi d'accordo :lol:

tony H , non eravamo presenti quando è stato fatto il record al Ring dalla Nissan , tuttavia visto il peso elevato e la potenza dichiarata di soli 480 cv , risulta diffficile pensare che possa battere vetture molto piu potenti e leggere...e da cio nascono i dubbi

E visto che tutta la strategia commerciale Nissan si basa SOLO su questo tempo al Ring ( perche certo non possono far pesare il blasone del marchio o il design della vettura che francamente è orribile sia dentro che fuori ) è verosimile che abbiano raggiunto quel risultato con qualche piccola "scappatoia"

Infine nemmeno tu c'eri al Ring quando la Nissan ha ottenuto il record per cui nemmeno tu puoi sapere se è veritiero o meno, tu come mai ti fidi di piu dei tecnici Nissan??
