Si nota che quella del mulo bianco (ipotetico Golf VII) è MQBA3 2-0012, mentre questa è PQ35LC 1-0151.

Cosa vorranno dire? Sarà da quello che "chi sa" individua il tipo di muletto?

Ever since its debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, the Volkswagen Bluesport concept has been turning heads and wagging tongues over its good looks, solid performance, and green profile. But despite all the positive buzz, it has faced a hard road to get production approval--until now, according to a new report.

The news is that unnamed insiders at VW have said the Bluesport now has the greenlight for production. We've heard similar reports before, however, so consider us skeptical until we see the official announcement.

At the same time, we're excited over the possibility. If it comes to production in anything like its concept form, both aesthetically and mechanically, it'll be a must-drive car. Mid-engined, soft-topped, diesel-powered, and promising handling to rival or beat the Mazda MX-5, it's a near-perfect package for a daily driver turned weekend rockstar.

The power of the concept comes from a 180-horsepower version of VW's 2.0-liter turbodiesel, tuned up 40 horsepower from the mill in the Jetta TDI. It also gains torque, rated at 260 pound-feet in the concept. Best of all: it drives the rear wheels. A six-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox and 45:55 front-rear weight distribution seal the deal.

It's fairly light, too, weighing in at around 2,600 pounds. Combined with the quick-shifting gearbox and 180-horse diesel powerplant, it's rated at 6.2 seconds to 60 mph and 35 mpg in the Euro combined cycle.

If it does go to production, we'll have to wait about three years yet. The car is said to be at the final engineering prototype stage, meaning extensive testing still needs to be done before tooling and sales can be planned. We'll have to wait on official confirmation--and final production specs--before we get our salivary glands working, but the ringing in our ears sounds a lot like Pavlov's bell.

Ci credo poco. Giusto qualche giorno fa si parlava di Bluesport annullata e Audi R4 solo elettrica. Se dovesse arrivare in produzione, però, ne sarei davvero felice.

Penso che verrà prodotta: con R4 e spiderina Porsche in arrivo la Bluesport aiuterebbe a spalmare i costi della piattaforma senza contare il contributo all' immagine quasi-premium del marchio VW.

PS: certo che per una macchinetta del genere farei delle pazzie!

As befits its positioning as a volume car maker, Volkswagen’s offering will feature styling inspired by its current car range and already previewed on the BlueSport concept at Detroit in 2009.

The interiors of the three cars will also differ; each will reflect the instrument panel architectures and moulding shapes found in other recently launched Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen models.

Important parts such as the main instrument binnacle and dials will be unique and even the minor switchgear is expected to be specific to each model, just as Audi, Porsche and VW differentiate the cabins of their Q7, Cayenne and Touareg SUVs.

However, a big part of the effort aimed at endowing the new Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen roadsters with their own individual character is being focused on the engines.

Volkswagen is planning to offer the most economical engines as befits its brand positioning and customer base. The entry-level unit on the BlueSport is likely to be a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder packing 170bhp.

The target-car for the VW, meanwhile, is the segment-defining Mazda MX-5, so expect a starting price of around £20k.

Volkswagen Bluesport: cancellata la produzione?

Secondo quanto riportato da autoevolution, Volkswagen potrebbe aver abbandonato il progetto Blue Sport. Dopo molti rinvii e ripensamenti pare che la roadster a motore centrale non verrà prodotta in serie, concentrando gli sforzi del marchio sul miglioramento dei modelli attualmente in gamma.

Nelle proiezioni di mercato il livello di vendite della Blue Sport negli Stati Uniti, paese target per la cabrio 2 posti, non avrebbe giustificato i costi di produzione. L’obiettivo di Volkswagen di salire in vetta alla graduatoria mondiale delle vendite entro il 2018 avrebbe quindi portato i vertici di Wolfsburg a concentrarsi sui modelli attuali facendo così saltare l’arrivo di nuove auto a listino.

La Blue Sport Concept, presentata al Salone di Detroit del 2009, è una roadster lunga solo 4 metri e dal peso di 1200 kg. Il propulsore è un 2.0 Tdi da 180 cavalli e 350 Nm capace di percorrere 100 km con soli 4.3 litri. La velocità massima è di 226 km/h e lo 0-100 viene coperto in soli 6.6 secondi, grazie all’utilizzo del cambio DSG a doppia frizione.

se fosse veri significherebbe che davvero ce la vogliono metter proprio tutta per salire al primo posto nella graduatria mondiale delle vendite, immagino si ameglio investire altrove che su una spider 2 posti.

Se fosse vero credo che tutti noi sopravviveremo e continueremo ad acquistare quello che abbiamo acquistato sino ad ora.
