A rischio di causare un'altra esplosione di reazioni (penso che quest'articolo non era già visto):

In un articolo su Allpar del 31 gennaio 2013 si parla al primo posto della nuova Chrysler 200, e al secondo posto di una decisione recente di usare un piattaforma segmento D à TP, cioè per la Giulia:

The existing Chrysler 200 is reportedly to be tweaked, with changes likely to include a revised four-cylinder engine taking advantage of MultiAir II, for a short model-year 2014.

The “true” next generation 200 — to be built in early 2014— was being led by Lancia people when we last saw it; it is likely to be sold as the Lancia Flavia in convertible and sedan form. The 2014 or 2015 Chrysler 200 might have an increased-power Chrysler 2.4 (200 hp); and it is likely to have the 3.2 or 3.6 liter V6. The 1.4 liter Fiat engine has reportedly been axed, at least for American markets. The 200 will have the nine-speed ZF automatic, and is reportedly going to achieve 38 mpg — possibly in a special “HFE” model. Despite announcements that Dodge Avenger would be killed off, which are still being echoed in the media, Dodge Avenger now seems to be moving to a rear wheel drive version of the midsized cars, which it will share with Alfa Romeo Giulia and (maybe) SRT Barracuda. This appears to be a change of internal plans; the rear wheel drive midsized setup was only recently approved. Avenger might get a name change.

RVC wrote, echoing other sources, “This new D architecture is a joint project, developed in Detroit with permanently embedded Fiat engineers ... Having a RWD D-segment architecture is costly, and took two years of tinkering between finance and marketing ... E-Evo was discarded [for this purpose] last year, when it became obvious that if you shorten it too much you can't produce an aerodynamic, [reasonable weight,] sexy looking D-segment car.”

Thus, we now expect Dodge Avenger to be a rear wheel drive four-door sedan and SRT Barracuda to be a limited production coupe, powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi, sharing with an Alfa Romeo coupe and hatch.

Quello che no capisco è che si parla (à parte del coupé) di un Alfa Romeo hatch invece di berlina.

Di nessuna attendibilità proprio perchè sono pezzi di vecchissimi articoli messi assieme in qualche modo e senza nessuna cura per la coerenza delle informazioni.

Non c'è nessuna novità o notizia attendibile in quell'articolo.

Giulia non sarà a TP, Avenger non avrà un erede con meccanica TP.

Barracuda è l'unica vettura confermata, ma di la dall'essere pronta, che adotterà la piattaforma a TP alleggerita.
