2014 Mercedes Viano spied in southern Europe

Could be introduced early next year

Development work continues on the 2014 Mercedes Viano as our spies have caught the model undergoing testing in southern Europe.

Snapped wearing plenty of camouflage, the model has an upright front fascia with a prominent grille that is flanked by sweptback headlights. While the rest of the model looks pretty boxy, sketches suggest it will have an upward sweeping character line and more distinctive wheel arches.

The sketches also revealed the cabin will significantly improved with a 'floating' dashboard that features circular air vents, wood trim and a freestanding COMAND display.

Under the hood, we can expect an assortment of four- and six-cylinder engines. However, the plug-in hybrid and electric variants are in “hibernation mode."
