P.S. Il nome non mi convince per niente invece,e non ci trovo neanche una logica nella nomenclatura Mercedes...A45...d'istinto mi viene in mente un'autostrada!!

Oppure é scelto a caso per stare proporzionalmente al di sotto dei 55, 63 e 65 delle altre AMG?

Visto la potenza monstre annunciata ci sarebbe spazio anche per una A53 AMG..

Penso che la scelta della sigla sia solo relativa alla potenza erogata.

Scrivere A25 AMG non è molto se magari rapportato al fatto che BMW ha la M135i e Audi la RS3 che esula da sigle.

Engine Dyno Video: Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Turbo 2.0-Liter

The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG represents a downsizing, of sorts, for the famed German performance brand. This petite 5-door hatchback will come equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, four-wheel-drive, and DCT 7-speed automatic transmission when it goes on sale next year. While the dimensions and engine size are scaled down from what we normally associate with the AMG brand, the same can’t be said for the power output. Exact figures are still being closely guarded, though Mercedes and AMG officials hinted that the 4-cylinder engine will produce approximately 370 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque.

As part of its 45th Anniversary celebration, AMG invited us to its headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany, where we got a sneak peek at the car and some of these tantalizing technical details. Unfortunately, photography and video of the finished production model shown to us was strictly forbidden, all mobile phones and cameras were neatly tagged and sealed in plastic bags before viewing the car. Don’t feel too bad, however, since we’re here to tell you the car is a dead-ringer for the silver A-Class AMG Sport shown at this year’s Geneva Auto Show.

The journalistic reigns were loosened long enough for us to grab a video of the A45 AMG’s in action on the dyno – you’ve just got to love the red hot glow of that turbocharger! The good news is that this monster (mini) motor is headed to the U.S., most likely in a high performance version of the upcoming CLC sedan that rides on the same platform as the new A-Class. No official fuel mileage numbers have been released, but AMG is making a point to improve economy across its range of vehicles. This turbo 4-cylinder will play a critical role in those plans
