BMW Teases New M Performance M3 And M5: Video.

It turns out BMW’s new M Performance range of accessories aren’t just for the automaker’s regular fleet.

BMW has released a couple of videos of its high-performance M3 coupe and M5 sedan, both of which in these short teaser clips are classified as M Performance models.

This means that they're likely to have been fitted out with a range of parts only available through the recently launched accessories division, though we can’t be sure until BMW reveals all the details.

What we do know is that the M3 and M5 M Performance models have only been announced for the UK market. There will be 30 examples of each, and these will be broken down further into equal allotments of red, white and blue versions.

While increased engine outputs are unlikely, we should expect to see new suspension, brake and tire upgrades, more aerodynamic exterior components and motorsport-inspired interior fittings. The stock engine output for the M3 is 414 horsepower while on the latest 2013 M5 it's 560 horsepower.

Note, just this week BMW also announced some new M Performance accessories for the regular 3-Series and 5-Series sedans and these are available here in the U.S. Let's hope these M Performance M3 and M5 models make it as well.
