A me piace da morire: nel panorama 4x4/suv una versione elegante/accattivante ed egocentrica non dispiacerebbe.. E poi secondo me avrebbe una -seppur piccola- ma significativa fascia di clientela (dal giovane al maturo passando per il pubblico femminile ).

Dopo tutto Evoque è un prodotto glamour così come è affascinante Range Rover. Tutto il resto c'è già: dunque perchè non farne una versione cabrio ricca di personalizzazioni..

A Land Rover executive recently declared that a decision on whether the Evoque Cabrio will enter production phase will be taken very soon.

Land Rover's brand director John Edwards mentioned during a meeting in the Asia Pacific region held in Melbourne that he supports an Evoque Cabrio and the model "is still an opportunity for us. We're very close to making a decision." When asked if it will be green-lighted for production, Edwards responded with "I hope so, yeah … if I get my way. It's a car I want to do, we've just got to make sure the maths work."

As a reminder, the Range Rover Evoque Cabrio Concept made its debut last year at the Geneva Motor Show. It was based on the three-door Evoque and was conceived to test consumer interest. The concept came with a fully retractable roof, bespoke 21-inch alloys and a roll-over protection system. Inside it had an eight-inch display, metallic trim and four red leather seats.

L'idea di per se non mi convince del tutto... ma se c'è lei

di "cabrio"... non vedo perchè non possano esistere i vari SUV scoperti...

Che c'azzecca il confronto tra la prima JEEO con l'ultima? L'ultima Wrangler è cosi' per tradizione e stile, esattamente come l'Evoque (tradiziona a parte s'intende)

Anche perchè per noi è un suv, ma per molti che lo comprano nel suo paese è un semplice fuoristrada che può essere aperto, può essere caricato con roba ingombrante e attrezzato con qualsiasi roba che ti venga in mente. Un mezzo da lavoro in pratica.

[h=2]ould go into production next year[/h] Land Rover's brand director recently confirmed the company was close to making a decision on whether or not to build the Range Rover Evoque Cabrio and a new report is indicating the model has finally been green-lighted.

Citing an anonymous source, What Car? says the segment bending crossover will go into production in 2014. The magazine goes on to say the production model will closely resemble the concept and be based on the three-door Evoque.

Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model so choices could include a 2.2-liter eD4 diesel with 150 bhp (112 kW), a 2.2-liter SD4 diesel with 190 bhp (142 kW) and turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol with 240 bhp (179 kW).
