Une fois un projet terminé, il est temps de penser au suivant; en effet après la MP4 et plus récemment la P1, McLaren développera encore sa gamme,

avec un plus petit modèle nommé pour l'instant P13, destiné à concurrencer entre autres la reine Porsche 911 et l'Audi R8.

Ce troisième modèle de la marque sera toujours mu par le V8 Bi-turbo positionné à l'arrière et qui développerait 450ch.

Rien de concret pour l'instant car on ne l'attend pas avant 2015; une version découvrable devrait sortir aussi un an après le coupé.

se ne parlava già nel 2006-2007 un fornitore di particolari in plastica poi caduto in disgrazia mi raccontava che avevano fatto parecchi incontri esplorativi e che il loro scopo era avere una gamma che spaziasse dalle 911 fin su alle ferrari top

e parlavano anche diu numeri importanti rapportati al settore

erano ai tempi in fase di qualifica dei fornitori

[h=2]Could be called 'P13'[/h]A recent report suggests McLaren is preparing a new model slotted below the MP4-12C.

According to Motor Trend, the third model in McLaren's lineup is codenamed P13 and will be a two-seater sports car but with a proper trunk. McLaren believes it will be the firm's best-selling model and they estimate on delivering between 2,000 and 2,500 units each year.

In terms of pricing, it will cost less than 200,000 USD so that it won’t steal the MP4-12C's spotlight which begins at 250,000 USD. Under the hood it will get a detuned version of the V8 twin-turbo powering the MP4-12C which should put out somewhere around the 500 HP (368 kW) region.

Design-wise, some of the styling cues will be borrowed from the recently introduced P1 which means there will be several active aero elements, thin strips of LEDs, along with a lot of swoops and curves.

It is believed McLaren will launch the car sometime next year.

A McLaren engineer has told Jalopnik the MP4-12C is going to receive a power boost for the 2014 model year.When McLaren revealed the 2013MY MP4-12Cthey introduced a healthy 25 HP (18 kW) increase to 625 HP (459 kW) and they are about to do the same thing for the 2014MY since the twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter will receive some of the updates implemented in the P1 flagship.

They didn't reveal an exact number but most definitely it will be a lot lower than the P1's 737 HP (542 kW). Chances are output will be bumped to around 650 HP (478 kW) to maintain a significant distance between the MP4-12C and the P1.

Since the 2013 model year was announced in June 2012, we assume an official announcement of the 2014MY will occur very soon.

ma le portiere sono in carbonio anche su quella attuale?

chissa' se le piccole modifiche estetiche siano per uniformarla a p1 o per cambiare qualcosa in termini di raffreddamento/aerodinamica. C'e' da dire che quest' auto esteticamente fa un effetto strambo. Belle linee, eleganza suprema e non chiassosa piu' di tanto, pero' e' vero che quando la vedi per strada decisamente non la degni degli sguardi che riservi alle compagne di brigata.
