[h=2]Feature revised styling and Euro VI compliant engines[/h]Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2014 Unimog and Econic.

The Unimog adopts a new "panoramic cab" which has a prominent grille, LED daytime running lights and new windscreen wipers that are mounted above the window for improved visibility.

Inside, the cockpit gains a larger instrument cluster, optimized controls and an improved heating and cooling system. There's also a front camera monitor, a removable joystick (that controls various accessories) and an updated central tire inflation system with pre-programmed modes for “road”, “sand” and “bad surface”.

Under the hood, a variety of different engines are available. Detailed specifications were not released but the Euro VI compliant four- and six-cylinder units have outputs ranging from 156 HP (115 kW) to 354 HP (260 kW).

Moving on, the Econic is completely revamped with a new grille, stronger bumpers and LED daytime running lights.

The cabin has also been improved with a new steering wheel, additional sound deadening material and lockage storage compartments.

The Econic is available with a 7.7-liter diesel engine that produces 299 HP (220 kW) or 354 HP (260 kW). It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which helps the model to be up to four percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor.

Both models will go into production in September and go on sale later this year.

Si per quei utilizzi ok... me lo chiedevo più che altro perchè vedevo anche versioni in foto tipo TIR.
