German media is reporting the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will go on sale starting January 15, 2015.

Mercedes-Benz announced recently the CLA Shooting Brake will be launched in 2015 but they didn't specify an exact date. Now, a German blog says order books will be opened on January 15 and deliveries will kick off on March 1. Judging by these two dates, the model will likely be officially unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit which will begin with the press preview on January 12 and 13.

The most practical A-Class is going to be the fourth member of the range after the hatchback, CLA sedan and GLA crossover and will likely carry over the engine lineup. It will be topped by an AMG derivative set to use the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo rated at 360 PS (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). Expect the AMG model to come out several months later after the regular CLA Shooting Brake's introduction.

Essentially an A-Class wagon with a sloping roofline, the CLA Shooting Brake will adopt a sleek appearance with longer rear doors and a more spacious trunk compared to the hatchback (340 liters) and sedan (470 liters) so the capacity should hit the 500-liter mark. However, the narrow opening commanded by the elegant mini CLS design will be a turnoff for some people.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will cost a bit more than the equivalent CLA "four-door coupe" which in Germany kicks off at 29,214 EUR while in United States begins at 29,900 USD.

hahaha è veramente pazzesca,mi ricordo quando al superbowl l'audi prese in giro la merc per le proporzioni assurde della cla nella pubblicità della a3 sedan. imho non mi piacciono la a e derivate,sproporzionate e tamarre,preferisco la c berlina,le sw merc mi sembrano tutte un po dei carri funebri con la linea di cintura sbilenca

Dite pure quel che volete....ma se davvero verrà fuori come in questo rendering (oserei definire definitivo, visto che ormai è stata vista nuda in tutte le salse), sfido chiunque a definirla uno sgorbio.... (ps: non vedo l'ora di vederla dal vivo.... "coerenza" vuole che dovrò decidermi tra questa ed una Passat in allestimento R-Line...e parlo da ex Alfista TRADITO dalla sua beneamata 159......)

Per carità Cosimo....starò anch'io a vedere che venga più proporzionata della hatchback (la CLA è già più passabile...)....ma ho uno stramaledetto bisogno di una station TAMARRA....detto questo, bannatemi pure dal forum!
