A me dispiace per il povero benzinaro USA riconvertito a distributore di idrogeno che una volta alla settimana vedrà arrivare UNA sola auto e sarà sto cesso immondo...

Secondo voi, c'è nessuno sul pianeta che compra l'auto a idrogeno PER USARLA?

Sono auto che comprano tizi tipo la stella di Hollywood PER FAR VEDERE che sono ecologisti! Per andare in giro c'è l'Hummer, questa va solo tenuta fuori dal box davanti a casa.

Di conseguenza, DEVE FARSI VEDERE, deve proprio sembrare assurda, deve venire il vicino di casa e dire "ma che è 'sta roba?" così puoi rispondere "è una macchina a idrogeno! Quando la accendi esce solo ossigeno!!!".

Se sembra normale, o peggio bella, si auto-spiega: l'hai presa perché è bella! Se invece è brutta da morire, allora l'hai presa perché sei proprio verde dentro!

Toyota avrebbe già in casa la soluzione: TRIFUEL ( Hybrid + Gas) !

Sperimentato da alcuni clienti italiani e spagnoli.

Poterlo avere di serie su una Segmento C automatica (a circa 20 mila euro) sarebbe il classico uovo di Colombo.

Ma, si sa: spesso le soluzioni troppo semplici non fanno notizia/scalpore/clamore....non si puo' gridare al MIRACOLO...

PS Nel mentre i pionieri TRIFUEL (impianti Omologati) spendono 3-4 euro /100 km

The world’s first mass produced fuel cell vehicle, the Toyota Mirai, has reached Europe in production guise.

The first production Toyota Mirai models have officially landed this weekend in Europe, and more specifically in Bristol, UK and Zeebrugge, Belgium, ahead of the official launch in September.

The new hydrogen fuel cell EV will be offered in the UK, Germany and Denmark, where the hydrogen fuel supply and retail infrastructure is already being developed. The limited number of cars available in Britain is already sold-out, mostly by businesses and corporate customers.

Karl Schlicht, Executive Vice President Toyota Europe, said: “This marks the debut of a new age for clean mobility, a turning point in the history of the automobile. With Mirai and its fuel cell technology, Toyota is working on delivering clean, safe and enjoyable mobility for the next 100 years. We are looking forward to the start of deliveries of the first Mirai to customers from September and to see the future taking shape on European roads.”

The Toyota Mirai uses hydrogen to generate electricity and that means that there are no CO2 emissions or other pollutants produced. The scheduled volume for cars in Europe is estimated between 50 to 100 units, with the price of the Mirai set at 66,000€ plus VAT in Germany.

Toyota Mirai Shows Off during WRC Germany, Has Roll Cage and Rally Goodies

Sightings of the Toyota Mirai in Europe have kicked off in an official manner, after the fuel cell electric car competed on the WRC stages in Germany.

In case you thought a FCEV can't rally, guess again, because with the right mods, the Mirai was able to show what it's capable of. Don't get your hopes up just yet, as Toyota will return to the World Championship in 2017 with a Yaris-based World Rally Car.

So if you're wondering what the Mirai is doing on European rally courses, here's the answer: the Japanese manufacturer is in Trier, Germany to showcase its latest emission-free production car scheduled to go on sale in selected European markets like the UK, Germany and Denmark.

The Mirai was the "zero car" that precedes the competition racers along the stages and behind the wheel sat its Japanese owner Mitsuhiro Kunisawa.

But even if the Mirai wasn't actually part of the race, it didn't manage to escape the necessary rally-bound treatment. We know, seeing a roll cage, special brake pads and competition tires on an electric vehicle is not a common sight. But considering how the automotive world is evolving, we could see PHEV or EV race cars making their way into more and more competitions in the future.

Coming back to the Mirai and Toyota's WRC plans for the future, here's what Mirai's chief engineer, Yoshikazu Tanaka, had to say about the brand's next goals and how the racing stage will look like not many years from now:

“It is our dream that one day our fuel cell vehicles will be able to compete in WRC. Therefore, we will continue to develop this technology with great ambition," he said. "Spectators at the Rallye Deutschland will have to get used to this noiseless premiere at Trier, but they’ll experience the art of an almost pollution-free future.”
