non penso che si ala vettura da far girare su neve

Dovrebbe pesare 100 kg meno rispetto alla M4 e probabilmente perdere la panca posteriore

New details are starting to emerge about the highly anticipated BMW M4 GTS scheduled to come out sometime in 2016.

A reliable BMW insider says the hotter M4 will lose 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to the regular version which weighs 1,572 kg (3,465 lbs) with the six-speed manual and 1,612 kg (3,553 lbs) with the 7-speed M DCT. The significant weight loss will be possible by removing the rear seats and other weight-saving measures while an optional roll cage will be offered.

Interestingly, the same source indicates there will be differences in equipment between the Euro-spec M4 GTS and the version sold in United States because of the legislation applicable stateside. In other words, some of the goodies offered on the European model won't be available in United States due to the stricter regulations and for this reason the aforementioned roll cage could be missing on the US-spec variant.

Only three exterior colors will be offered for the production version which is expected to be previewed by a concept in August at Pebble Beach. It will use the M4 MotoGP Safety Car's water injection system but it's not known at this point how much power the TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter engine will deliver. Needless to say, it will be substantially more than the standard 431 PS (317 kW) and some are saying it could go close to the 500 PS (368 kW) mark, but this might be an overestimation.

Chances are the BMW M4 GTS will be a limited-run model commanding a serious premium over the regular M4 which in Germany kicks off at €72,500.
