Già...ma la prima serie è un'icona di stile, a mio avviso, la SLK più riuscita di sempre tra le tre, e la primissima serie (quella dal 1996 alla fine del 1999) è la più bella di sempre. La seconda serie del 2003 sembrava davvero un voglio ma non posso, e questa terza serie sembra nata vecchia e priva di qualsiasi personalità, che la prima serie, seppur abbia ormai vent'anni, ancora ha da vendere.

Questo restyling non fa altro che intristire una vettura nata già triste secondo me. Bocciata senza appelli per me.

Il render mi piace tantissimo. OT / Sbaglio o in Mercedes-Benz manca una coupé 2+2 TP compatta? C'è la C Klasse coupé, ma sinceramente detesto le coupé-berline a 2 porte. Peccato non aver fatto l'erede della CLC.

Secondo ma la più riuscita è la 171, sia in termini di design che di qualità/affidabilità. A livello estetico la r170 non è invecchiata benissimo (meglio la coeva z3), e ad ogni modo rispetto al prototipo presentato a torino nel 95, la r170 ha un posteriore troppo pesante e squadrato rispetto al design dell'auto. La r172 è pessima da tutti i punti di vista...

Debutto a Detroit

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz SLK set to be renamed “SLC” has been caught on camera once again on the public roads of Germany.Mercedes-Benz is putting the finishing touches on its roadster as company officials have hinted the SLC will be introduced in January at the Detroit Motor Show. Seen here is a near-production prototype with very little disguise as the facelift will only bring some subtle tweaks to the bumpers and grille. A more important change will be the switch from bi-xenon to LED headlights which is why this car had some disguise on and around the front clusters. Some changes to the LED taillights graphics will also be implemented, but nothing significant.

A new member will join the SLC lineup as we know for sure Mercedes is cooking up a 450 AMG Sport version as seen in a batch of spy images we published a few months ago. That one will bridge the gap between the lesser versions and the fully-fledged AMG model and will do that thanks to a twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter engine. It will likely have the same 367 PS (270 kW) and 517 Nm (382 lb-ft) output as seen in the C450 AMG Sport.

As for the flagship version, it will lose its naturally aspirated V8 5.5-liter motor to make room for the same twin-turbo V6. It will obviously have more power than in the SLC 450 AMG Sport, but it won’t exceed the 421 PS (310 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) output of the outgoing SLK 55 AMG.

Taking into account it will debut in January, hopefully Mercedes-Benz will show the SLC online next month.
