Riporto il caso più interessante finora segnalato in giuliaforums che riguarda una Q acquistata poco tempo fa da un utente credo italiano residente in USA. Interessante perché segnala tre cose (due positive una negativa):

 

1) la soluzione ad un problema riscontrato in due casi dalle riviste americane (e da alcuni proprietari), ossia malfunzionamenti dell'avvio a distanza;

2) l'efficacia e prontezza dell'intervento (in seconda battuta.....) di Alfa USA, di Alfa Corporate in Italia e di un altro dealer più avvezzo a prodotti del genere;

3) l'inefficacia () dell'assistenza del dealer in questione (uno dei Fiat-Alfa che sono in tutto 84 in USA), da cui l'intervento (in seconda battuta appunto.....) dei responsabili NA del marchio.

So I thought I would bring everyone up to speed on the journey with the QV.
As some of you may know I had some issues which sidelined the car for almost 3 weeks...but I am happy to report that those issues have been dealt with and "Sophia" is back home.
I will go into detail of what went wrong & right. And what Alfa now knows about our cars, but first I want to publicly thank my Alfa Rep. Mr. Dan Jacobson. He went the full distance on this and was a great advocate for me. He ALWAYS kept me in the loop, sometimes calling me twice a day. He was accessible 7 days a week. He was instrumental in getting my car back on the road. So Dan, if you follow the boards THANK YOU! Also thanks to board members Kanundrum, MC3456, DaneAFROM, & Cupshot. You helped me with information & encouragement. You guys were great sounding boards. Your input was much appreciated!
Now to the nitty gritty.
My car never had any of the issues that have been mentioned from radio amps, wind noise, remote start etc. However at one point my cars CEL lit up. It went into LIMP MODE.
I brought the car to the selling dealer same day it happened after calling him. Brought it in, hooked it up to read the codes, he cleared the codes and I was on my way.
We chalked it up to 1st run jitters.
Not a week later the CEL light comes back.was going home to Italy so I said I will bring it back when I return...bring the car back after my vacation...only this time he can't clear the code. The car remained in LIMP MODE. So he asks for me to leave the car...okay no problem..
Call Alfa NA to get tech support and the saga begins....the car would not get out of LM. continuous back & forth to no avail....moreover they (dealer) seemed clueless, they were basically being the arms/ears/hands of the Alfa tech on the other end of the phone...all through this Mr. Jacobson was trying to get the issue settled...at one point the dealer said there was an issue with a Cam Shaft sensor...and they could not figure out what was causing that issue..after almost 2 weeks with the car my frustration grew.
Mr. Jacobson offered to get me another car, which he could, but it was black....no good for me...wanted my CR....was going to get me a special allocation but that would still take until the summer at the earliest as he acknowledged the back log (ALL QVs are Sold Gents)...what do we do...I did not want to sell the car back to them...
So we cam up with a new idea...CHANGE DEALERS...Mr. Jacobson made the arrangements with Miller Motor Cars and my SA Norbert (who I knew from BMW, he helped build my Dinan M5). Mr Jacobson expedited the Cam Shaft Sensor from Italy (was pulled off the line from a car) and the part arrived last Thursday.
I brought the car into Miller on Monday at 10am....Norbert called me at 2:30pm telling me the car is all fixed!!....but he wanted to keep the car and do a cold start this AM. He called me just after lunch today to say that the car was 100% come pick it up and he will explain everything in detail.
So these are the things that were done:
Crankcase Pressure Sensor in induction tube of Bank 2 was faulty & LOOSE! : this was noticed immediately when the Alfa Engineer opened the hood
They replaced the sensor and secured it properly..1st issue fixed
The following updates were done:
RRT 17-020 Powertrain Improvements 18-19-17-9R 0.60 ECM, ECM2 & TCM were all updated.
RRT 17-022 Remote Start....................18-19-02-CB 0.20
Battery Compartment Cover Replaced

Now the car runs like it did in the very beginning...and I could not be happier.
Somewhere here there is a thread about Dealers that sell Alfas and facilities etc.
I can tell you first hand, before you buy look through their service area and try and get a feel for how they can take care of you on that end. 
Miller Motors deals with Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Bugatti & Alfa Romeo....their service facility was an absolute CANDY STORE!....the hardware in there left you with the confidence that it will get fixed right...each marque had their own section for service with dedicated staff. 
This saga basically told me that my selling dealer was not equipped to service the car. The sensor in question became disconnected when it failed. It was not in securely in place. Why did he not see that? and the Miller guy did???
At any rate....its done and over....and I put almost 100 miles on the car just today to get reacquainted with "Sophia".

Ero ieri in conce a fare un preventivo per il Renny e quando ho chiesto che sconto mi poteva fare il concessionario mi ha detto "hai un cane? Puoi fare la tessera ENCI che ti dà diritto al 17% di sconto. Un paio di settimane fa ho venduto una 124 abarth a uno che aveva fatto apposta la tessera ENCI che tra l'altro non ha nemmeno il cane, il cane era di suo cognato"

La porto 3 ore minimo fuori al giorno libera e con altri cani, tutti giocano e lei non fa niente. Zero, se le rompono le balle lei non reagisce e si fa fare tutto.

 

Pensare che l'ho presa come cane da per therapy per la depressione...è come avere un gatto che ti guarda solo se c'è cibo. ?

 

Una volta correva e giocava, ora a 4 anni non fa più niente oltre a guardare gli scoiattoli (una volta ne ha ucciso uno purtroppo).

 

Peró le voglio tanto bene ed è trattata come una principessa da tutta la famiglia e company.

OT a parte, penso di voler sapere se i sedili pelle e alcantara di serie abbiano la pelle di grado Poltrona Frau o se corrisponde alla pelle non luxury pack della Giulia normale.

Volevo allegare il video di chris harris che si eccita guidando la Giulia, dice che è superiore in tutto alla M3, e la batte in pista umiliandola in rettilineo.

Però purtroppo sono 4 mega e posso caricarne solo 2...

Per cui se volete vederlo lo trovate sulla pagina facebook "Alfa project 950", finchè non li tolgono come fecero per i diritti con la bellissima puntata di jeremy clarkson di qualche settimana fa.

In ogni caso ho entrambi i video...  se servissero
