Questo e vero senza dubbio. Ma questi tempi, belli per i vecchi petrol head, non tornano. Il futuro e diverso - software defined, autonoma, libero dal divertimento, regolarmentato e elettrico, con la conseguenza (simile come in altri segmenti del consumo) usa e butta. Per un uso / una clientela cosi molti valori del epoca non sono piu valori.

E vecchia - ha 5 anni 😂 E una BMW assolutamente inutile - Mercedes fa la cosa giusta con abbandonare questo segmento. Un OEM premium non ha posto li - roba per low cost e generalisti.

Ford Europe boss Martin Sander returns to VW Group Martin Sander, who previously worked for Audi, will lead sales, marketing and aftersales at VW brand. Ford's top executive in Europe, Martin Sander, is moving to Volkswagen brand to oversee sales, marketing and aftersales, the German automaker announced. Sander, 57, moved from Audi to Ford as head of the U.S. company's Model E passenger car division in Europe in June 2022. He was Audi's senior vice president of sales for Europe at the time. Sander will succeed Imelda Labbe and will report to VW brand CEO Thomas Schaefer, the company said in a statement. VW officials declined to say where Labbe is headed next. Sander "will provide new momentum to sustainably position the Volkswagen brand's sales organization for the future," Schaefer said in the statement. At Ford, Sander was responsible for stripping back the automaker's unprofitable passenger car range in Europe and preparing it for an electric future. As both head of Model E and chairman of Ford's manufacturing division in Germany, Sander oversaw the $2 billion transformation of the company's Cologne plant from building the Fiesta small car to producing Ford's first EV in Europe, the Explorer. The Explorer was developed as part of Ford's partnership with VW and is based on VW Group's MEB electric platform. Production of the car officially started on Tuesday. Aside from two years at Ford, Sander's 25 years in the automotive industry had been solely with Audi. He started in sales for the premium brand in Germany and then added the wider European market before becoming CEO of Audi Canada in 2009. He has also been managing director of Audi U.K. and head of the sales for the Americas. (ANE)

Per la X1 ci sono globale poco meno di 30% bev, la U11 (standard) con una quota un po piu alta rispetto la U12 (cinese). Al momento la X1 bev in Usa non e in vendita, in certi mercati europei come F, D, GB la versione bev ha quote tra 35 e 50%, in altri come Italia naturalmente meno, ma anche qui la X1 bev e significante sopra la quota bev del mercato totale.

Se prendiamo la G60 (ser5 standard, venduta in tutto il mondo ecetto Cina) poi parliamo di una quota bev secondo il piano attuale per quest anno di quasi 30%. Se prendiamo invece la G68 (versione LWB prodotta e venduta solo in Cina) poi i 10% sono vicino, i clienti cinesi nelle classe superiore chiaramente preferiscono una macchina ice, le bev in Cina sono vendute sopratutto nei segmenti tra 100.000 e 300.000 Renminbi (Yuan).

Queste di pensionati con chilometraggio annuale di 10-15km direi no. La carrozzeria e zincata e normalmente senza nessun problemi, le parte del telaio/sospensioni (sopratutto quelli in alluminio) sono da controllare.

Stellantis may drop some suppliers to cut EV costs, Tavares says European automakers are trimming costs to keep up with Chinese rivals. Stellantis is willing to part with some of its suppliers and make vehicle components on its own to lower costs in the expensive shift to electrification. “When suppliers are not racing at the same speed of our teams, our teams see a big benefit to in-source,” Tavares told reporters during a conference call from Melfi in southern Italy. “You come to the conclusion that what you have outsourced, you can do it in-house.” Automakers are pressuring suppliers to eke out more cost reductions amid slowing EV demand in Europe, where elevated borrowing costs, subdued economic growth and waning subsidies have weighed on sales. At the same time, Chinese brands are expanding in the region with cheaper models. BYD plans to offer its Seagull hatchback next year at a price below €20,000 ($21,730). The company’s suppliers include Valeo, which Stellantis last year lauded as keeping a lid on costs. The Fiat and Jeep maker also procures from companies such as Continental, Magna International, Forvia and Aptiv, among others. Stellantis and its partners also are adjusting investment levels for EV batteries to match vehicle demand, the CEO said. Earlier Tuesday, Stellantis and Mercedes-Benz’s battery venture Automotive Cell Company said it had paused construction of a €2 billion plant in Germany to review plans and possibly switch to making lower-cost cells at the site. On Melfi, which makes Jeep and Fiat models, Tavares said productivity and quality had improved. While the company has been cutting jobs in the country, the CEO referred to recent talks with Italian unions as “constructive.” Stellantis supports the Italian government’s target of producing 1 million vehicles locally, provided “there are 1 million buyers for them,” Tavares said. Still, energy prices in Italy remain “totally uncompetitive,” he said, with Stellantis planning to enable Melfi to make its own electricity. (ANE)

Ma tutti queste somiglianze che troverete, V40, Focus, Tipo non sono nuove - era gia la stessa con la F40. Alla F70 tutte le parte in lamiera sono invariate. Ha cambiato solo la plastica, quindi davvero sorpredente che l'impressione e come prima? 🤣 Verso fine anno una benzina di intermedia tra 120 e M135.

Stellantis and Mercedes-Benz Group's joint battery company has stopped construction on sites in Germany and Italy to review the business in light of slowing electric-vehicle sales and high costs. Automotive Cells Company, or ACC, which is developing three battery plants in Europe at a total cost of €7 billion ($7.6 billion), is resetting its strategy at its site in Kaiserslautern, Germany, with one of the options making low-cost lithium-iron-phosphate cells, according to CEO Yann Vincent. The plant was to become operational by 2025, with full capacity reached in 2030. It was to employ 2,000 people, ACC has said. The company, which also includes energy company Total/Saft as a partner, is working on three battery factories in Europe. It inaugurated its first major plant a year ago in Douvrin, France. The company said on Tuesday it would renew discussions on its factory in Italy's Termoli in late 2024 or early 2025. Demand for EVs has slowed in Europe, with growth only expected in the mass-market segment, Vincent said, speaking on the sidelines of a BloombergNEF event in Munich. The plant, set to cost just over €2 billion with an initial plan to make lithium-ion cells, is also pushing out its start date by at about two years. The news about the Kaiserslautern site was first reported by the German newspaper Rheinpfalz. EV projects revised as sales slow The review on battery technology and cost savings at the former Opel site adds to a growing line of EV projects that are being reconfigured as electric cars struggle. Several countries in Europe have scrapped or reduced buying incentives, pushing vehicle sales sharply lower. Volkswagen last month said it may delay how quickly its upcoming battery factories in Europe reach full capacity as EV sales cool. Manufacturers are also betting on selling more plug-in hybrids and expect to keep combustion-engine cars in production well into the next decade. Among the changes, battery technology has been shifting with LFP cells gaining ground on more expensive lithium-ion chemistries that so far delivered better driving ranges. Both Stellantis and Mercedes are requesting lower-cost solutions for batteries to power planned entry-level electric vehicles, Vincent said. ACC will decide by the end of this year or beginning of 2025 how to proceed with the plant in Germany’s Saarland state. Then, it will take as much as 2.5 years to manufacture the first cells, he said. The plans for the factory are currently on hold, not completely dropped, he added. The Kaiserslautern plant has been granted €437 million in subsidies by Germany’s federal government and Saarland state, with ACC applying for additional funding.
