Chery Exeed Sterra ES all-electric sedan with 905 km range pre-sale starts at 34,400 USD in China n November 17, Exeed’s brand-new sedan called Sterra ES is now open for pre-sale with a price range of 248,000 – 358,000 yuan (34,400 – 49,600 USD), available in a total of five models. The Sterra ES is Exeed’s first pure electric vehicle under the brand’s Sterra new energy vehicle series and is expected to launch later this year. Exeed is a high-end brand under Chery. Positioned as a medium-to-large sedan, the Exeed Sterra ES is based on the E0X all-electric platform, coming in at 4945 mm long, 1978 mm wide, 1489/1480/1467 mm tall, and has a 3000 mm wheelbase. The new car is available in five exterior colors: blue, green, black, gray, and white. The front face adopts a closed grille paired with through-type headlights. Its coefficient of drag is 0.205Cd thanks to the hidden door handles, multi-spoke rims, and fastback shape. At the same time, the front roof comes with an optional lidar, which indicates that an advanced driving assistance system is not absent. Inside, the cockpit is offered in three colors: porcelain blue, black, and white. The number of physical buttons is minimized, with the functions incorporated into the 15.6-inch floating central control screen with 2.5K resolution powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a two-spoke flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel. In addition, two wireless charging pads are on the center console below the central control screen. The Exeed Sterra ES is available in single-motor 2WD and dual-motor 4WD powertrain configurations, coupled with CATL batteries. The official 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 3.7 seconds for the 4WD configuration. Its 800V high-voltage fast-charging platform can achieve 150 km of battery life with just 5 minutes of charging time. The single motor offers two power versions: 230 kW and 185 kW; while the dual motors have a maximum power of 123 kW + 230 kW. ´Gli anni scorsi il seg-D europeo ha avuto un volume di +/-1,5Mio macchine#. Essendo un segmento del mercato che e assolutamente dominato di macchine aziendale (80-90%) secondo me, il volume restera in questa grandezza. E poi, per policy delle aziende e simile, secondo me questo segmento (insieme con la seg-E) e quella con il movimento piu forte verso full electric - significa che c'e ancora un volume di ca. 1Mio al anno da spartire. Al momento Tesla ha una quota di 60-70% del seg-D bev, ma con l'allargamento delle bev intorno il segmento non credo che saranno in grado di mantenere questa quota, quindi c'e una opportunita per gli altri di partecipare alla festa. Segmento D europeo per propulsori (settembre completo, ottobre incompleto) seg-D per marca per le ice e il D delle bev per marca e le mhev

Geely reduces Volvo stake; will continue to support Swedish automaker Geely, whose holdings include Lotus and a stake in Aston Martin, said it will continue to support Volvo. Chinese billionaire Li Shufu's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group is raising around $350 million selling part of its stake in Volvo Cars, responding to investor concerns about the automaker's limited free float. Geely, which owns a web of automotive interests in Europe, offered approximately 100 million shares in the company at 37 kronor ($3.49) apiece, 9.4 percent below Thursday's closing price. The sale of the 3.4 percent stake leaves Geely with a holding in Volvo of 78.7 percent, Geely said in a statement. "The placing will increase the free float and further broaden the shareholder base of Volvo Cars. Proceeds received by Geely Holding are intended to be used to support business development within the group," it added. Geely said it will continue to support Volvo. None of the cash from the share sale went to Volvo. At 09:00 GMT, Volvo shares were down 10.2 percent at 36.66 crowns, having traded as low as 35.25 crowns.. The share is down 25 percent year-to-date. The sale follows complaints from analysts and investors over the company’s small free float, which has put pressure on the stock and fueled high trading volatility. Volvo debuted in Stockholm two years ago at 53 kronor a share. "This increase in our public float and improvement in trading liquidity benefits both new and existing investors," Volvo CEO Jim Rowan said in a separate statement. The free-float concerns continue to put off long-term investors "despite the fundamental attractiveness" of the stock, Bernstein analyst Daniel Roeska said this month in a note. Li's automotive holdings include Lotus Technology and a stake in Aston Martin. It picked up Volvo from Ford in 2010 after the brand had long languished under the U.S. automaker. Geely earlier this year inked a deal with Renault to pool combustion-engine assets as the industry moves into the electric age. Volvo launched the EM90 luxury battery-electric van this month aimed at China and Southeast Asia, where upscale vans are gaining in popularity. (Reuters)

Si il facelift di 2021 e l'ultimo intervento alla versione ice. Il piano originario (prima le difficolta con Cariad e quindi anche per PPE di Macan e Q6) era, di produrre ice e bev per tre anni in parallelo, ma in questo tempo la bev avrebbe debutare a 2023. Adesso con la posticipazione della bev forse danno un altro anno di prolungamento al ice.

Purtroppo manca la possibilita a Volvo (e anche altri come Mini e in futuro BMW Neue Klasse) di ordinare la machina con il optional "senza coprisedili". Quindi subito dopo la consegna della macchina nuova, quando si va al sellaio per installare coprisedili individuali in pelle vero, purtroppo si deve buttare via le coprisedili di serie in tessuto, e un spreco, ma perlomeno riciclabile... 😝

According to the announcement, the HiPhi A should be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just over two seconds and reach a top speed of almost 300 kph. It is the first vehicle with the motor and battery technology developed by HiPhi itself. HiPhi relies on an 800-volt platform with three motors – one at the front and two at the rear. The rotors of the electric motors are made of a carbon fibre composite material and can reach up to 22,000 revolutions per minute. With direct cooling of the coils, the drive should be able to maintain a very high performance level for over 30 minutes. The motors are also very light and compact. In the HiPhi A, parts of the battery housing are also made of carbon, such as the base and housing cover. Although the vehicle shares the unusual and angular design of the HiPhi X and Y, it was created as part of a cooperation with Wesail New Energy Automotive, according to HiPhi. HiPhi itself supplies the specially developed drive components, while Wesail is to contribute “hypercar elements.” ShanghaiTech University was also involved in the development. The brand intends to reveal more details about the HiPhi A in the coming months. The premiere of the show car is scheduled for 17 November at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The electric hypercar will be produced in limited numbers from the first quarter of 2025.

Si si ............. vedremmo per quanto rempo saranno ancora in grado di bruciare soldi. The US company now expects to produce only 8,000 to 8,500 electric cars in 2023. In May, Lucid had already reduced its production forecast for this year from 10,000 to 14,000 to “more than 10,000” vehicles. In the first three quarters of 2023, Lucid produced a total of 6,037 EVs, so the company is expecting around 2,000 to 2,500 more vehicles in the fourth quarter. By comparison, production fell to 1,550 units in the third quarter. According to the recently published quarterly report, Lucid Motors’ turnover from July to September was 137.8 million US dollars, compared to 150.9 million US dollars in the second quarter. Lucid reduced its net loss in Q3 from 764 million to 631 million US dollars compared to Q2. “We delivered on our commitments to complete the Lucid Air lineup on time with Pure RWD and Sapphire, transition general assembly to our Phase 2 factory in Arizona, and open our first plant in Saudi Arabia. We recognize we still have work to do on our customer journey and deliveries,” said Peter Rawlinson, Lucid’s CEO & CTO. The manufacturer has now announced the presentation of its second model, the Gravity, for 16 November. The electric SUV will go into production at the end of 2024. Un po' piu compatta la informazione di Ampere: How Renault's Ampere aims to be Europe's leader in EVs, software-defined cars Sharp reductions in battery, drivetrain and manufacturing costs will help Ampere's electric vehicles achieve price parity with combustion models. PARIS -- Renault Group said its Ampere EV unit will "democratize” electric cars in Europe, offering battery-electric models for the same price as combustion engine models. Ampere will be the first European EV and software "pure player,” Renault said, with a new generation of electronic architecture including Google Android-based software, and the launch of the first "software-defined vehicle” in 2026. Renault said Ampere vehicles will reach price parity with ICE (internal combustion engine) models faster than the competition, thanks to an overall 40 percent cost reduction by 2027-28 when the second generation of its compact (C segment) EVs are launched. “Ampere will be able to gradually reduce vehicle prices while improving margins,” Renault Group CFO Thierry Pieton said Wednesday. Automakers are struggling with the cost of building EVs, with consumers balking at high list prices as the economy cools and inflation increases the cost of living. At the same time, European brands -- and the European Union -- are bracing for a wave of low-cost Chinese-built models. The MG4 compact EV from SAIC, which starts at less than €30,000, has quickly become a best-seller in one of Europe’s most competitive segments. The first shot in a potential low-cost EV price war was fired by Stellantis last month, when it unveiled the Citroen New e-C3, a sub-€25,000 small car that is based on the Smart Car platform for India and other developing markets. It will be built for in Slovakia, making it the first European-built EV to reach that price point. The first full lineup of Ampere cars will comprise the: Megane E-Tech, launched last year Scenic E-Tech, which goes on sale early next year Upcoming Renault 5 that will be revealed early next year Renault 4 to be launched in 2025 Sub-€20,000 successor to the current Twingo minicar. There will also be two additional vehicles, Renault said. Ampere will also build cars for Renault's Alpine sports-car brand as well as the Nissan Micra small EV and Mitsubishi models. Renamed EV platforms Renault has renamed its "EV-native” platforms for Ampere, with CMF-BEV for small cars now called AmpR Small, and CMF-EV for compact models now called AmpR Medium. Renault said it would sell the retro-styled Renault 5 for €25,000 or less. The Scenic E-Tech will start at €40,000, with the Megane E-Tech at €38,000. Ampere’s financial targets include revenue of at least €10 billion by 2025, when it will have four vehicles; and more than €25 billion in 2031 when the full lineup has rolled out. Pieton said Ampere will break even in the second half of 2025, with a shortfall totaling €1.5 billion in 2024 and the first half of 2025. It is aiming for 1 million sales in 2031. Revenue will mostly come from vehicle sales, but other streams include sales to partners within the group and the Nissan alliance; aftersales revenue from software-defined vehicles; and emissions credit sales to other Renault Group brands. New services such as app sales and self-driving upgrades are expected to contribute €500 per vehicle. Ampere started operating separately from its parent on Nov. 1. It has three factories in northern France and will purchase batteries for its cars from Chinese-Japanese maker AESC Envision and French startup Verkor. Both will have gigafactories near Ampere's plants. Adding tech, lowering costs Renault said it will take costs out of the EV manufacturing process in a number of ways: Powertrain: 50 percent reduction on battery cost per vehicle with no loss in range; 25 percent reduction on the powertrain, including a new generation of electric motor developed with Valeo and new power electronics. Vehicle: 25 percent reduction in platform cost per vehicle and 15 percent reduction in bodywork cost. The network of suppliers will be streamlined by 40 percent. Operations: 50 percent cut in manufacturing and logistics costs. Renault has concentrated its EV production sites in northern France in its ElectriCity cluster, including a battery cell gigafactory with Envision AESC. It also seeks to reduce the time needed to build an EV to less than 10 hours. Ampere’s EVs will come with a host of technological advances, Renault said, centering on the launch of the group’s first software-defined vehicle. The car will be fully cloud-connected, allowing for over-the-air updates, lower chip costs and higher residual value thanks to software upgradeability. The automaker boosted its software engineering capability in 2017 when it acquired Intel Europe. It has partnerships with Qualcomm (a potential investor in Ampere) and Google. Renault said this "horizontal” approach, rather than in-house development only, cuts software development time by 50 percent," on par with Chinese players and up to half of Western automakers.” (ANE)

esatto...e un prodotto/categoria pensato a quelli che finora hanno comprato berline passo lungo e per questo lasciano guidare l'autista invece loro stessi sono seduti dietro per lavorare o per relaxing durante le ore intorno le code infinite nelle citta cinesi. E questo clientela al momento e sulla strada di vogliare ancora piu spazio e comfort - per questo e nato questa trend delle Mpv lusssuose in Cina.

Non so quale strada vuoi prendere per Pescasseroli, ma se prendi l'autostrada A25 fino alla uscita di Pescina, se poi hai tra Gioia di Marsi, Pso. del Diavolo (>1400m di altezza) fino Pescasseroli strada con condizioni invernali, che sono 25-30km, poi non credo che catene oppure calze sono una soluzione molto intellegente. Chi va in montagna durante inverno ha bisogno di gomme termiche, non c'e altra soluzione.
