Non credo che si puo generalizzare questo aiuti/incentivi locali, sembra che sono solo qualche communita di California, non tutto lo stato dove si paga questi incentivi enormi. E alla fine la quota delle Bev in California intero non e molto diverso (piu alto) rispetto alla quota di Francia o Germania. La quota bev delle immatricolazione in Q1/2023 per la California era a 21,1%.

si certo che continuano anche dopo, ma anche alla Daimler la maggior parte delle 40 Mrd e fino a 2025/26, il momento da quando escono come sviluppi nuovi solo auto full electric. Per me sembra che per i investimenti nell futuro Stellantis va con freno a mano tirato (e meglio, risparmia anche qui simile alla produzione), ma potrebbe sbagliare.

A questo punto siamo sicuri che gli investimenti sono davvero abbastanza? Naturalmente potrebbe essere una differenza nella efficienza, molto non significa sempre e per forza molto effetto, ma in paragone Stellantis, complesso di 7Mio unite/anno con 14 marchi ha diciarato investimenti in elettrificazione e software di 30Mrd dollari, invece la piccola Mercedes con i suoi 2,3Mio unite investe 40Mrd Euro e qualche giorni fa Källenius ha dichiarato, che molto probabile ci sara un aumento in questo investimento. Vediamo se gli 30Mrd di Stellantis in futuro saranno sufficiente.

For Chinese Kei car makers, sodium is the new LFP Three years ago, the Chinese legacy car makers found themselves in trouble when the country’s EV credit system started penalizing OEMs with weak EV offerings, such as SGMW, Chang’an, and GWM. In order to offset the penalties, the carmakers started to attack RMB 10,0000 – 20,000 yuan (1,400 – 2,800 USD) LSEV markets in rural areas with A00-size EVs that were carrying lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries instead of ternary ones. By selling them at break even, carmakers would get much-needed EV credits to offset the heavy penalties. Things started to change, with lithium prices skyrocketing and killing the margin and, with it, the sales. Now, sodium shows up as a new way of Kei-car revival in China. Last month, the state regulator approved two sodium-powered electric vehicles for sales and production in China. Chery and JMEV will thus become the first manufacturers with sodium offerings. Chery installed sodium in one of its bestsellers, kei car named QQ Ice Cream. The battery supplier is CATL. The EV has maximum speed of 100km/h and curb weight at 764kg. Not much has been revealed on the battery, but CATL revealed some of the specifications during earlier presentations. Fujian battery maker uses a pack with lithium and sodium cells packed together. The cell’s energy density is 160Wh/kg and capacity 250Ah. At normal temperature, 80% of battery is charged in 15 minutes, while at -20°C it keeps over 90% of discharge. Grouping efficiency goes over 80%. CATL added that despite sodium battery not having particular advantage compared to lithium once lithium prices drop, OEM’s battery is not sensitive to lithium price volatility. JMEV Yichi Yutu was the second electric vehicle to be approved for sales and production. A0 EV carries Farasis sodium battery. Maximum speed is 100km/h, curb weight is 1,080kg. It will offer 16kW and 36kW engine. The battery data was not revealed, but Farasis presentations show a 155Wh/kg cell with over 2,000 cycles and 90% discharge at -20°C. The battery maker prepares to raise the cell density from 160Wh/kg to 220Wh/kg by 2030 as it aims to offer sodium solutions for all EVs below 500km range. Although, it did not enter MIIT’s catalog yet, JAC started road tests with Hina Battery sodium pack on kei car named SOL EX10. The A00 EV carries 25kWh pack with 120Wh/kg energy density and supports 3C-4C charging. The pack is made of prismatic cells with 140Wh/kg density. The range is 252km. JAC also announced sodium version of its latest model, Yiwei 3. Out of major manufacturers, BYD is rumored to install a sodium pack in Seagull and Dolphin, as well as its forklift models. Earlier this month the OEM said it prepares for mass production of 150Ah sodium blade battery in the second half of the year. (CNC)

The first car of Nio’s Alps brand will be SUV, according to the report It isn’t a secret that Nio currently works on two more all-electric brands called Alps and Firefly. According to the insider, it will be an SUV that stands on the NT3 platform with a 90-kWh battery and 800V platform. Stellantis aims to reshape its supply chain amid stiff competition from rivals such as BYD and Tesla. Stellantis put its vast network of suppliers on notice that the automaker is looking for better deals on components in an effort to protect its margins. CEO Carlos Tavares, who has already shaved costs at factories, said suppliers must take similar steps as an influx of less expensive Chinese cars ratchets up the pressure to make electric vehicles more affordable. Component makers should review “what we have done in our own plants to progress on their side,” Tavares said on a media call Wednesday after Stellantis reported better-than-expected first-half results. The comments point to Tavares taking aggressive steps to reshape Stellantis’s supply chain amid stiff competition from rivals such as BYD and Tesla, which have slashed prices in the face of weaker demand. With no plan to lower prices on his vehicles, Tavares is squeezing production costs. In Italy, Stellantis is cutting jobs and was recently accused of skimping on janitorial work. In the U.S., it’s been offering buyouts to scores of staff and has idled a Jeep factory. Meanwhile, Stellantis, which is plowing 30 billion euros ($33.1 billion) into EVs and software, has been inking deals with companies including Infineon Technologies, NXP Semiconductors and Qualcomm to help avoid potential shortages of semiconductors. The automaker is also taking equity stakes in mining companies and signed deals to directly access raw materials, such as manganese and nickel. Earlier this year, Chief Technology Officer Ned Curic touted Valeo as an example of a supplier that has worked extensively to keep a lid on costs while keeping its products flowing amid persistent supply-chain disruptions in recent years. Not all suppliers had been as reliable, he cautioned, adding that some might not survive the tough times. Tavares has said Stellantis may need to further adapt its industrial footprint in Europe and the US, its biggest profit pool, as a consequence of the expensive shift to EVs. Stellantis is under pressure from the French and Italian governments to produce cheaper cars locally to maintain jobs in those markets. On Wednesday, Stellantis gave an upbeat outlook for the rest of the year even as concerns mount over a cost-of-living crisis that is denting demand for higher-priced EVs in Europe. Cost cuts already implemented helped the company reach an adjusted operating income margin for the first half of 14.4 percent, beating the 12.2 percent predicted by analysts. Tavares also flagged that logistics problems in Europe are mostly resolved after thousands of cars stranded were stuck in parking lots. “We still have a couple of things that we are going to solve during the month of August, namely getting rid of our backlog in some of our yards where our customers are still waiting” for some cars, Tavares said on a media call. Sono ridotto per le bev gia dal primo gennaio a 2/3 del valore di 2022, finiscono per le flotte al 1.settembre (quindi molto probabile ad agosto boom delle bev in Germania perche tutte le aziende immatricolano prima del fine dei incentivi) ma per i privati il fondo al momento sara aumentato, perche i previsti 1,7Mrd per 2023 sono quasi esauriti, piano attuale e un aumento del fondo a altri 400-500Mio.

Basata su nuova piattaforma MMA (electric FIRST ma non ONLY !), le versione full electric avranno un nuovo propulsore eATS2.0, architettura 800V, cambio a 2 marce per un rendimento piu alto e una autonomia massima secondo WLTP fino a 850km. Batteria LFP e NMC-Li, dipende dalla versione.
