The new baby Bugatti, under development at the firm’s R&D base at Braunschweig, Germany, will be made in greater numbers and sold at a much lower price than the 50-a-year, €1 million (£670,000) Veyron. The two options facing Bugatti are a mid-engined sports car or a four-seat coupé. Both could offer all the traditional Bugatti qualities of prestige, luxury and performance. Further details remain scarce at this stage, but new boss Thomas Bscher revealed the first nuggets of information about the new small Bugatti last week. In an interview with our German sister magazine, auto motor und sport, Bscher hinted the new car could be sold for as little as €100,000 (£67,000) and would be produced at a projected rate of 2000 per year. Unlike the almost entirely unique Veyron – whose eagerly awaited launch has now been put back until mid-2005 – the new baby Bugatti will share a large percentage of its mechanical package with other cars in the highly diverse VW Group line-up, including models from Lamborghini, Bentley and Audi. ‘We have to rely on all the components from within the VW group,’ Bscher said. ‘I can also imagine a close association with Bentley. mi sembrano delle foto spia "ripulite", tipo quelle dell'astra 3porte su auto. Guarda i fari posteriori... Comunque praticamente è uguale a quella reale, visto che l'auto fotografata era praticamente scoperta...

In effetti come si può pretendere che una 3volumi sia uguale a una coupé? Ma quindi il nome "157" è stato saltato perché ormai sarebbe troppo tardi per usarlo?

secondo me per qualche motivo ci ritroviamo con un "buco generazionale" nel ricambio della 156, si è allora preferito un restyling "leggero" (manco tanto) in vista del nuovo modello, completamente nuovo e con delle caratteristiche tecniche molto più avanzate... ...l'operazione che vorresti tu, quella che chiamavo "157", sarebbe stata opportuna ma almeno 2 o 3 anni fa... IMO sulle dimensioni, copio e incollo da TAURUS

ma, da quello che ci dicono, non sarà uguale alla 156 tranne che per i fari... Già il fatto che le dimensioni sia molto più grandi con delle proporzioni diverse (passo-sbalzi) la rende una auto dall'aspetto completamente diverso. Credo che i tempi per fare una "157" vera e propria fossero ormai passati. Quindi meglio un restyling e poi un modello completamente nuovo... (quando è stata lunga la vita della 156 rest?)

a parte che penso che non c'era bisogno di aprire un altro topic (personalissima idea), mi pare che si sia detto questo: la prima foto (+ vecchia) è effettivamente basata sulla 156, la seconda invece è già la 158 . Gli sbalzi sono diversi. Il baule ha perso lo scalino in stile giulia. L'inclinazione del montante posteriore è diversa. La forma dello scudo alfa è diversa.
