  1. @nucarote AFAIK Ralph Gilles is native French speaker raised in Francophone part of Canada and is of Haitian descent which means he is native French speaker.
  2. https://moparinsiders.com/caught-autocar-india-catches-the-2022-jeep-compass-interior/ From what I've seen infotainment screen and vent integration will be ala Volvo. It's definitely vertical.
  3. Maybe.. But IMO Small Wide covers B+ all the way through D- segments. Or will cover it. Much or less similar to EMP2. The question is can a Small Wide offer a proper B segment hatchback? I'm not sure about it. Surely not with 4 meters in length. Maybe with 4.1 m or 4.15 m in length. And it would be tall as is Tipo. I see Small Wide as a perfect FWD platform for SUV segment.
  4. Currently most CMP based cars are selling bellow expectations. It may be due to COVID19 but who knows. On the other hand Renault has nailed it with new Clio and Captur. They are selling like hotcakes. But then I always preferred merger with Renault. Elkann preferred it. Merger with PSA was Manley's idea.
  5. 2008 II Unfortunately it also doesn't offer much in terms of leg room. 208 II should be around 250 liters for luggage volume. PSA? It's excellent in terms of cost cutting but their platforms are not to rave about in terms of technical excellence. Poor crash structure, poor packaging, cost cutting on 1.2 liter engine with no hydraulic valve lifters... And so on and on. AFAIK currently new 208 II is selling below expectations. It's interesting to note that the old 208 offered more combined leg room than the new one.
  6. I'm pretty much sure that you can't make a proper A segment car on a CMP platform. Already 208 II is the smallest in class inside. In general PSA platforms have big issue with packaging. So yes moving to PSA platforms for people movers is step backwards.
  7. Maserati brings pre-chamber ignition to the mainstream https://www.enginetechnologyinternational.com/news/new-engine/maserati-brings-pre-chamber-ignition-to-the-mainstream.html
  8. Hmh, it shouldn't look like that. New ADAS, 360° camera, 10" infotainment and fully digital instruments are coming. Of course with new IP design.
  9. Instrument cluster screen size for the upcoming FCA products should be 7", 10.1" and 12.4".
  10. Alfa, Fiat et Jeep. Les petits SUV ne seront pas communs avec PSA https://www.largus.fr/actualite-automobile/alfa-fiat-et-jeep-les-petits-suv-ne-seront-pas-communs-avec-psa-10351397.html
  11. For Levante? Are you sure? Maybe for the next generation. Surely not for this one. But IMO it would be a bad call for Levante. I think that for Levante base engine it would be much better to "Maseratize" upcoming GME T6 with MultiAir and mild boost for around 350 HP, maybe close to 400 HP. Future is not downsizing but rightsizing. This is moronic decision made by MMM and company.
  13. Jeep is taking care of Broncos, I mean horses. 😂
  14. It seems that debut of the new platform EMP2 v4 was altogether pushed back by at least 1 year.
  15. If Alfa Romeo keeps Giorgio in the long run they will gain V6 with pre-chamber sooner or later. Pre chamber technology can be used for 2 different goals. To improve maximum power or to lower fuel consumption i.e CO2 emission. And we know how important is to lower CO2. Story about exclusive Maserati engine have started less than 2 years ago. It wasn't here under Marchionne.
  16. It depends on engine they will use and will they opt for maximum 160 kW to electric motor. Based on may calculations it could add maximum of 130 HP when it's combined with the engine. Let's say that engine has 330 HP. 330 HP plus 130 HP is 460 HP. In my opinion that's maximum. I presume it will be a P2 MHEV. Why not 630 HP? In my opinion they will need a V6 engine with around 450 HP for US market.
  17. They can't... Only partially and only for up to $500 million compensation. They've lost.
  18. https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1648416/000119312515346154/d61094dex101.htm For the V6, Ferrari is responsible for the design and bench testing in accordance with agreed standards and with the [***]. [***].
