  1. The Next-Gen Jeep Grand Cherokee Will Be All-New and Larger than Ever The new Grand Cherokee will ride on an Alfa Romeo platform and potentially come with a hybridized lineup. The next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee has been spied for the first time, and it will be bigger than the outgoing model. It will ride on Alfa Romeo's Giorgio platform, which underpins the Giulia and the Stelvio. The Grand Cherokee should go on sale by the end of 2020 as a 2021 model. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a27891433/jeep-grand-cherokee-2021-spied/
  2. Nissan might be the bigger company now, but the situation is a result of Nissan's US division bankrupting the whole corporation back in the 1990s. Renault was the only company that was interested in taking on Nissan. If Nissan's board felt that the shareholding balance was unfair, Renault was, and remains, a publicly-traded company: over the last two decades it has had many opportunities to acquire more stock in Renault, with voting rights.

After making an deal with FCA, the French Government and French Unions made a separate deal to seek "Favorite Nation Status" out FCA with Poland,Italy, and the United States as the "alternative nations" where FCA would have to cut jobs first before touching any "French Job".
  8. They are full of shit. It's very easy to check CAPEX. FCA has CAPEX at around the same level as Nissan+Renault combined. And that should end up stories about FCA's lack of development.
  9. Yeah, of course and thus Renault's share went u... Oh shit, it wend down since FCA pulled out. No doubt. French will desperate to marge with FCA in the near future but this time I hope they are willing to sell its shares to Exor.

  11. @il_vignale I can assure you that FCA is at the top of the game when it comes to MHEV and PHEV parts of electrification. Also their cars are circulation around with Lidar. No, I'm not talking about cooperation with Alphabet. One car will go on sale next year but I don't know if this technology will be offered at the start of sales. This car will be produced in Italy.
  12. Guys let's not forget that FCA is seeking partnership for European market. So there is no much options left.
  13. Just LOL What to say about Renault? Their CAPEX is almost 50% lower in comparison to FCA.

  15. I don't understand why would they need to close Italian factories. Same with French. For example Renault. It has 2 gearbox factories outside of France, 4 assembly plants outside of France. All in EU. We are talking about Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Slovenia.
