  1. It states: Crankcase: precision sand cast aluminum alloy with cast in steel liners Which is a quite interesting because Chrysler Tigershark is using a die cast block.
  2. From January 27th: http://www.fcagroup.com/en-US/investor_relations/events_presentations/quarterly_results_presentations/FCA_2014_18__Business_Plan_Update.pdf On page 15 it says: New Global small and medium engine architectures (2016) Don't forget that it was less than 2 months ago.
  3. Not before 2017? AFAIK official presentation from beginning of this year stated that two new engine families will debut THIS YEAR. I assume that those two engine families are GME and GSE.
  4. I just read my local edition of AMS. It goes something like: Details are not up to German standards, buttons are flimsy... lol
  5. I don't see AMS opinion as to positive. It's correct and it's not unfair as some others but that's it. As some of you know I'm from Croatia. So I will know translate from Croatian one opinion about new Giulia from Geneva and post some pictures. This guy drives Alfa Romeo but also has Audis in his family. The materials are excellent starting with door panels, control panel, steering wheel, gear lever ... (it's on the A4 and A6 level) all inside is the luxurious, very fine to the touch. Three round buttons (DNA, multimedia and whatever the other one) is somewhat looser (possible that up habits from Audi). Climate control buttons are rubbed and are not quite at level of new A4 (not cheap but cheaper for those who reads this). Overall, Gulia as a standing object is a great car, extremely elegant in the civilian versions with beautiful combinations of colors and materials in the interior. Too much talk about the position at the steering wheel is stupid after 5 minutes of sitting in a car, but it has a really lot of space inside, at the rear seats roominess compared to premium competition is more like at a car from class above . Two interesting facts: almost all manufacturers showed cars with shifters behind the wheel, and while thos at Giulia are huge I would say that they are the best of those that I have tried (most premium competitors), they are made of metal so it feels great under my arm and "click" when pressing is finely expressed. Another interesting feature is related to the integration of the control panel and infotainment display in one unit which looks phenomenal as opposed to say, E class where they put the LCD "TV" length of 1 m and a height of 25 cm which looks, at the very least, funny. This is my subjective experience of objective reality after a day of walking and "groping" of these vehicles. You don't need to agree, you do not need to have a opinion like me, feel it, try it, drive it, and write your opinion.
  6. To much weight difference between diesel with automatic and manual. First one is Super+Sport which does not include seat heating or AFS. The later is Super+Lusso and in that way just 12 kg more than gasoline.
  7. That 2.0 Giulia on Auto Show has Super + Lusso Pack. AFAIK in Switzerland you must provide weight and fuel consumption for the exact version of the car. In that sense 1705 kg is not so much.
  8. From Wester's presentation from Geneva all Giulias will have at least mechanical Torsen Q2 rear differential. QV is different with addition of torque vectoring in which they described as electro-mechanical rear differential. No! He said less than 5.5 seconds.
  9. Hmh. AMG engines, both 2.0 I4 and 4.0 V8, are closed deck blocks and later is similar to Ferrari's fashion sand cast. "AMG" 3.0 V6 engine with 450 designation is at 367 HP and it's a open deck similar as Maserati's V6. Usually I have a good memory. What I remember from original story about Alfa Romeo V6 engine is that Maserati Levante is last Maserati without Italian V6 or if you like it better solely American V6.
  10. Audi Q7 Diesel 272cv 0-100 6.3" 234 km/h
  11. I don't know if someone posted it already but I got some info about 500L restyling. There is not so much changes on the outside. Slightly different front and back lights to be more in line with 500X and some other minor details. Exterior is almost completely different, much closer to 500X. New instruments panel, central part for multimedia is much nicer and some talk about bigger screen as an option. The space between driver and co-driver is completely different. Seats are improved.

  13. Less weight, less length, smaller luggage, smaller wheelbase? Meno peso, meno di lunghezza, bagaglio più piccolo, più piccolo passo?
  14. Batteries for next Town&Country? Batterie per la prossima Town & Country? http://www.fev.com/en/press/always-informed/news-article/article/fev-battery-for-plug-in-hybrid-vehicle-goes-into-series-production.html
  15. Octavia + 75 kg conducente = 1380 kg
  16. Does anybody know dimensions of front overhang for Fiat Tipo? Vehicles based on FGA Small Platform has front overhang less than 88 cm long. Front overhang on Fiat Bravo is 97 cm long. I believe that Tipo Hatch will be around 4.25 m long.
