  1. They are overlooking the fact that most Italian FCA factories have a capability of running 2 separate body shops. Something which is strange in North America.
  2. Stelvio is so much more sexy, no doubt about it. As a Jeep CEO MMM insisted on a TH versions. Before him Compatriot twins didn't have TH versions and that was changed. So in my opinion he will insist on a Q version for every Alfa Romeo car.
  3. ? That sounds strange. Let put aside the fact that such a system is not in the official plan. But IMO P1F and P2 are better and more logical choice. ZF 8HP has modules for both MHEV and PHEV. Of course in both cases P2 electric motor is integrated into transmission. Also as of recently ZF is offering a 2nd generation of its ZF 9HP for FWD cars. It also gained a capability for P2 MHEV.
  4. They can't be... One is FWD based and the other is a RWD based. Renegade and Compass will use rear e-axle. Basically it will be a RWD in an electric mode. That's a P4 electric motor. Giulia and Stelvio should use a P2 electric motor integrated into a transmission. Will they use ZF 8HP or some other transmission? I don't know.
  5. Mild hybrid? http://www.jeeppress-europe.com/press/article/melfi-plant-prepares-for-production-of-new-jeep-renegade-plug-in-hybrid http://media.fcanorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=20153
  6. Not true... BTW, Argo is X6H, Cronos is X6S while Toro should be a 226. Most Brazilian Fiats have 4 digit project code unlike European with a 3 digit. Project code could differ from region to region. For example Jeep Compass has 4 different codes. From 520 to 523.
  7. The interesting part is a new 3rd generation ZF 8HP76. If you search you can find that it will be used on a JLR products with a BMW's 4.4 liter V8 engine.
  8. @4200blu Can you share sales numbers in Europe by engines?
  9. From today plus 18 months it's August of 2020. Production of Alfa Romeo compact SUV is scheduled for September 2020. 18 months is around the same time when Stelvio and Giulia mules started to appear to official production start. It does make sense. As I said to you they are still on schedule. Yes, rear end does look similar to Compass.
  10. I wouldn't be so sure. Of course if they will make a 8C. At least PHEV architecture will be very similar if not identical. P2P4 PHEV.
  11. Alfieri is alive? But hat couldn't be true. Some forum members with well respectful sources have said that all development was suspended and that the company is up for sale.
  12. But who said that? Where? I haven't found it in Conference Call. And it would't be the first time that someone is making a story out of nothing.
  13. Car is on sale since 5/2016. Usual time for facelifts in premium D segment is 4 years. Usual model life is at least 7 years.
  14. Which 5 models? When? I haven't seen mention of them in new Conference Call. As usual Conference Calls are very cagey and nothing is mentions unless someone explicitly asks for it. And because all is going excellent in North America nobody will ask much about European operations. We must keep in mind that FCA has average transaction price and profit margin in North America at such a level which is out of reach for any car group in Europe. Speaking about CAPEX it's clear that electrification part is mostly for Europe. We can only debate which models will be included and which will be all new because Mike didn't explicitly mention any of them. But in my opinion plan is the right one with BEV for small cars and combination of PHEV and MHEV. And here is especially important P2 MHEV technology which will not come before 2021 but it's a good call because CO2 reduction with it is higher than with 48V BSG MHEV. The other part is for Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee. These two are extremely important models for whole FCA. But to put in place alongside mechanical and electric engineering work they must do a lot of civil engineering (construction) work. Warenn Truck Assembly is a place where Wagoneers will be built. It's an old facility where they will need to do a lot of construction work. Also for Grand Cherokees they will open new Mack Assembly. Currently there are Mack Engine 1 and Mack Engine 2. They must be connected and work should start this year after production stoppage. Later work on Jefferson North Assembly Plant where current Grand Cherokee is produced will start. So a new Grand Cherokee and some other related models will most likely have two Assembly plants. Speaking about Lancia. It's irrelevant and will be irrelevant. Brand with no more than 30% of European sales outside of Italy is IMO a joke. On the other hand Alfa is much respected outside of Italy and has as much as 65% of European sales outside of Italy.
  15. Actually they haven't finished MM sale. It will occur in late 2019. Currently there is no benefits from MM sale.
  16. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4239113-fiat-chrysler-automobiles-nv-fcau-ceo-mike-manley-q4-2018-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=single
  17. According to CC FCA is open to cooperation in EMEA region.
  18. Giulia is also more comfortable, better materials in interior, far better handling... Passat has only advantages in rear leg space and trunk space. And yes, Passat is appliance. Even Insignia offers more emotion.
  19. Shares of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (NYSE:FCAU) are down 11.2% in the U.S. and 11.7% in Milan after the automaker's outlook rattles investors. The company warned that it faces a tough comparison during the first half of the year to last year when it had two generations of Jeep Wrangler on sale. A higher effective tax rate in the U.S. and elevated capex spending are also factoring in. Full year adjusted EBIT of +€6.7B is anticipated by Fiat vs. €7.6B consensus. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3430900-fiat-minus-11-percent-weak-outlook-resonates
