  1. This is my understanding of the situation. I may be wrong. Originally they planned much quicker spread of new Maserati products. They have contract for engines with Ferrari. Ferrari must make X engines for Maserati. Unfortunately Maserati didn't reach that X yet. If Maserati reaches X in the future than it's very likely we will see V6 90° for Maserati. Don't forget that in 2014 there was also a 450 HP V6 engine for Maserati. Back then it had 410 HP. But also in the plans was a current 430 HP V6 only for Levante.
  2. I must say that for me future FCA engine development is far from clear. For example diesel engines. SCR underneath the car. Outdated solution. I would expect close coupled SCR from a modern engine. It looks like they have killed future diesel development and than just made quick adaptation of old engines. Also engine portfolio consisting of a 1.3, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2, is IMO to much. At least one if not two are surplus. Speaking about petrol engines. Well... A lot have changed. A lot will change. Back at the time V6 60° Maserati was supposed to die with a Levante. The plan was to replace it. Most likely with a V6 90°. Why they didn't do that? I don't know. And speaking about GME 6. Who knows what will happen. Maybe they'll cancel it. But IMO if they will introduce than it's very likely that only version will be as hybrid. At least as a mild hybrid. P2 mild hybrid comes to my mind but according to FCA plans they will have P2 mild hybrid in early 2021 and most likely it will be a small GSE.

Underneath the skin, is where is the 2019 Fiat 500X becomes interesting. For 2019, the 500X will get the all-new 1.3-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine that will make its debut in the 500X’s platform mate, the 2019 Jeep Renegade. But unlike the Renegade, the 1.3-liter turbo will be standard on every 500X model for the 2019 model year. While we have talked about the new 1.3-liter a lot on MoparInsiders.com, we are happy to see that the dealer documents show us that new engine’s official output for the North American market. Those numbers will be 180 horsepower and 199 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine will also feature Engine Stop-Start as well. 2019 FIAT 500X Euro-Spec. (FIAT Italia). Another standard feature for the 2019 model year that pushes the 500X above the Renegade, is that it will have standard all-wheel drive (AWD) across the lineup. Three new colors are also available for 2019. Milano Ivory, Italia Blue and Vibrante Green. While pricing has yet to be announced, your local Fiat dealer is now able to place orders for the 2019 Fiat 500X. The vehicle should be available in the fourth-quarter of this year.
  4. Yes. It's a new Rapid on MQB A0. Plan is to offer it only as a hatchback. It should be much more spacious than Golf. With a simpler mechanics. Finally it will not be narrow as a B segment car. IMO. This is a real competitor for a Fiat Tipo. On this class will also come new Citroen C4 on the future.
  5. That's not true. Initial cost of development was around 2.5 billions of euros. 5 billions is a number necessary for a complete Alfa revival. This is ridiculous. You really believe in such a stories? LOL BTW. Modular approach is already thing of the past. P.S. In VAG Group I see a lot of old badge engineering. Not su much modularity.
  6. Why is FCA in around 5%. EBIT margin for Q2 was 5.7%. FCA data is also wrong for a Q" 2017. Back then margin was a 6.7%. "Honest" Germans.
  7. Have you ever read a official document related to a FCA platform development? I don't think you have. Every platform is updated for a newer product. Improved crash zone, newer materials to improve both torsional rigidity and lower BIW mass...
  8. They say a MY2021. That's a calendar 2020. And it's nothing new to a people which carefully listened every Earnings Conference Call.
  9. I thought that a new X3 has a McPherson upfront. Speaking about torsional rigidity. 15% more compared to a F30 should be around 15% less compared to a Giulia.
  10. It makes no sense before the next generation. There is no tariff from Mexico. BTW. If it's not in the new plan which two Jeep models are in this plan?
  11. P4 PHEV 180+60=240 2.4 -> 1.3 turbo
  12. Where? I cans see only 3 nameplates for a 12V P1F mild hybrid. That can be called a micro hybrid. Most likely a 500, a Panda and a 500 Giardiniera.

  16. 2.65 m That's identical to Škoda Vision X concept and next generation Škoda Rapid. At least we know which brand will use that version of MQB A0 in Europe.
  17. Renegade PHEV in the new 5 year plan is described as a P1P4 PHEV. P4 is a e-axle.
  18. http://www.jeeppress-europe.com/press/article/all-new-jeep-wrangler-1 New powertrains for the all-new Jeep Wrangler The Wrangler engine range is enhanced with the introduction of two new engines - the 2.2-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel and the 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine.
