  1. Not the GME T4 Evo, that got the updates from the GME T6 Hurricane and is produced since end of the year in America?
  2. The day of his retirement will come, he's 63 already. 😅 There's simply no long-term naming concept, all those marketing guys seem to think only for the next year. Also at other carmakers, even humourless like Audi (different names for ICE and BEV, gone after brief moment) or Mercedes (confusing EQ* system, gone soon). If they named the GP "Uno", there wouldn't be any confusion with the small Panda and it could have the same name around the world. Even if those of "Panda" name variations work in Italy, they sound strange abroad. "Pandina" sounds like a toy for Children or something very feminine for my German ears.
  3. I don't think that's a big problem. The price is the problem. You can get full electric cars for the same money, with much better comfort and service. I was really interested in this but it should cost 150–200 % of an electric scooter at max. People pay extra for cute and cool, to use it as a promo vehicle etc, but not this much.
  4. They have spoken about going back to the classic names. Separate models for ICE and BEV won't stay forever and people don't connect to the number system. Paywall, but teaser reveals already: https://www.braunschweiger-zeitung.de/niedersachsen/wolfsburg/article408239853/vw-elektroautos-bekommen-wieder-richtige-namen.html
  5. If they are clever they'll call it Lupo and not ID.XYZ. Like the ID.2 should be the next Polo. Also Up! was short for LUPo.
  6. Clean design, maybe a bit dull. But it's still a concept and will have smaller wheels etc. Technical details offer nothing worth waiting for over two years. 2+ years behind Grande Panda & Co.
  7. According to the Stellantis 2024 results press release the Cherokee successor will introduce the groups first HEV in H2/2025.
  8. Yes. Street price is much different though.
  9. They'll probably produce some stock as INTENSA (= almost full options) models. But still … more so dramatic for America, where's no Junior.
  10. The Cherokee successor will introduce Stellantis' first HEV (= full hybrid) in H2/2025. I think based on the (US produced) 1.6 EP and expect that to power the Compass as well. Source: https://seekingalpha.com/article/4762254-stellantis-n-v-stla-q4-2024-earnings-call-transcript
  11. I'd say the "pulling of investment" is about stopped Quattroporte (2025) and Levante on Giorgio Evo, which is an expensive dead end. They mentioned upcoming Maseratis on STLA large in the press release for the year 2024 results: https://www.stellantis.com/en/news/press-releases/2025/february/full-year-2024-results
  12. Thanks! I thought maybe it was a different logic of the whole system, when the e-motors kick in. They could bring it anytime when they need a discount for more sales. Like Mito that started with 120 HP and went down later. Personally I rather hope for a stronger Ibrida option, now that they postponed their 2027 all-electric plans. Plus an electric option around 200 HP.
  13. But has the combustion engine more power or does the 2nd electric engine allow a different power addition? PS. What's the problem with discussing Junior wheels in the Junior thread as long as it's more than continuous "I hate them all"?
  14. The base Elettrica "Aero" wheels have the most classic design but are closed very much to save energy – typical for BEV.
  15. I don't see a problem with eDCT but a MHEV/HEV between 1.2 EB and 2.0 GME Evo is indeed needed – as BEV won't pick up fast enough. Are we sure the new/updated 1.6 is for PHEV only?
  16. I see mainly these problems by Tavares' management: Keeping prices high in a cooling market for too long = piling up stock = losing market share Failing to get new models (or successors) to the market in time = losing market share Too centralised management = slow to react regionally = losing market share Negotiating too hard with partners, dealers, politicians = harming trust and motivation = losing market share External problems: Slowing demand for BEV in EU Drastically different political climate in NA All of this has been addressed by Elkann, actions have been taken. Most of the lost profits belong to heavy rebates for masses of unsold vehicles in NA. That's mostly done now.
  17. I see more and more 600s here in Germany, finally.
  18. You should always view the broader picture to sort it out. The whole industry faces rough times. There's absolutely no surprises in the new numbers, it's like predicted in the fall. They started to take actions like adjusting prices and reducing surplus vehicles at the sales channels. New models like Charger, C3 and Panda are finally out, more coming in 2025. It doesn't look so bad.
  19. Not if prices stay competitive and they reach the typical 500 customers again. They sold more than 100k for many years.
  20. I think it's still there. Watch the Quattroruote video closely. You can see the fine stripes. Visibility on video is low, more so when wet it seems. I'd take the red Intensa and change the Scudetto. The wheels are ok for me, I don't like the Petali version and hate the black 17" wheels. They should bring some 19" wheel as an option.
  21. I don't see a reason why „Stellantis“ must be visible as a brand. Of course marketing and managing 14 brands is more complicated and expensive than 3. On the other hand they reach a broader audience. If they closed for example Opel or Citroen that market share wouldn't automatically go to other STLA brands. Much of it would go to competitors. Unfortunately I think there are only emotional and maybe political reasons to keep Lancia going. Financially it doesn't make sense to pump it up. Chrysler simply needs product. Stellantis has not even one mainstream brand in North America.
  22. We don‘t? Some official confirmed that it uses STLA Small. I think ANE reported it.
  23. I remember that STLA Small was designed to cover lower C segment from the beginning. Up from 3.70 cm A segment. I read that 1.0 FF is used in the 500 instead of 1.2 EB because of space. Otherwise it should be economic to concentrate on one low-end engine in the long run. It's good that they update the 500e battery pack now, but they must update again in 3 years and not fall asleep again. The market changes fast. Hopefully so fast that an electric car is simply better in every aspect in 5–10 years.
  24. Is "STLA City" official now? eMini is pre-Stellantis after all. As François likes to talk so much I would love to read his excuses why Fiat didn't update the Punto on the existing platform 12–13 years ago (like Corsa D to E), why they didn't prepare an update to the 500e 3–4 years after launch (they could imagine competition wouldn't stand still) and why they didn't prepare a 500 hybrid in time when it got obvious electrics wouldn't fill the whole market in 2024. And when he will retire. 😊
