  1. Rule number #2 of Italian car industry: never build two generations in succession. 🤓
  2. Riportiamo di seguito la nota che Stellantis ha mandato alla stampa internazionale: https://it.motor1.com/news/728487/stellantis-non-vende-maserati/
  3. I wish this was available without the ugly exterior modifications.
  4. If Maserati goes to Ferrari, they could take Grugliasco with them. 😛 Or is it sold already?
  5. Without overlap we're back to poor FCA Europe. 🫣 Some overlap doesn't hurt as long as engineering is shared.
  6. Why sell Opel-Vauxhall? It's the best-selling brand in DE and UK while it can share everything with Peugeot (and Fiat for the low end). It's making good money. We have to see if Lancia sells with premium pricing.
  7. I don't think we have better knowledge or are smarter than the management. And I believe Tavares says things for a reason, to get some things moving. The current numbers are the result of keeping high post-covid-prices (= margins) in a slowing market as long as possible. They have to adjust now, like Citroën already did for their entire range. If I was CEO, I would have planned to close DS and Lancia from the beginning, and move Abarth under Fiat again. I think Chrysler and Dodge just need product. For Maserati has to be decided if it intends to be real luxury or high specced premium. Do they need high capacity by FCA/STLA or exclusive craftmanship by Ferrari? Moving down to D segment was a failure anyway.
  8. The Tonale will have a short life anyway: 2022–2027, as they keep their "from 2027 only BEV" mantra. Do you think it will switch to new engines with an MCA? EB3 Hybrid and new EB 4-cylinder* PHEV? *upcoming STLA PHEV are this and not EP Prince, right?
  9. I like the design but honestly: It's just a 1-piece hard plastic shell. The Polish doors are much richer, while still embarrassing to share the same part.
  10. Honestly, at the new competitors you wouldn't get a driver cockpit at all. Have a look at Mini Cooper/Aceman E, Volvo EX30 etc. In reality the screen backlight isn't as visible as on photos. I think no journalist complained about it.
  11. The 3-hole design of the ibrida is better. But they should definitely offer some nice 19" wheels. And a lighter interior option please.
  12. I think the absence of the grille doesn't do the latest Volvo designs any favour.
  13. That Chinese car has very bad ergonomics, tiny trunk for the space and dashboard ambience like a train.
  14. That should also lead to better quality. No one has to rush to be the first.
  15. Strangely I like the steel wheels. Feels like a likeable "back to basics" approach. 😃
  16. Great design! I prefer it by far to the C3. Design quality on par with 500e, much better than 600.
  17. I prefer the exterior of the R5, these Alpine additions clash with the original lines. The side "intakes" are just corny. But I like the interior upgrades. While the R5 is fine, this adds some premium feel – in the front and back. Better than materials of the Junior. 170 km/h isn't much for a "racer". When a sub-brand car is based so clearly on a main-brand car, why give it a different name? I think it's confusing. What does 290 mean? Why not A5 or something similar?
  18. Good that Nicolas Hayek hasn't to witness this anymore. 🫣
  19. I think a new name is coming. And it looks like STLA Small will also replace CMP Smart Car for cheap vehicles after 2026. With Renegade and Opel 25k BEV in the works.
  20. Opel launches the Mokka Hybrid 136 hp from 31,900 € in Germany. Interesting pricing, compared to the Junior from 29,500 €.
  21. Please no! Let Alfa have steady leadership for once.
  22. I had a yellow Mito from 2009 for 8 years. Loved it. A change to dark headlights and foglight areas plus lowering a bit did wonders. Too bad the facelift came so late and small. It's interesting how much more useful space they got out of the Junior by a couple of cm in length and height. I hope the Junior won't get hard like a Mito when lowered 3 cm. If you compare the standard equipment and infotainment of the two, they are worlds apart – explaining the price contrast.
