  1. I think that the live experience is very different to pictures. Cameras tend to lighten up screens while the whole instrument cluster looks black in real life. Similar to red leather seats which look pink on pictures/videos. This position is actually much better with ergonomics for a touch screen. You don't have to raise your arm high up. Keep in mind that important information will get mirrored to the instrument screen.
  2. I can't confirm this. Where do you base this on? Opel is seen here as a normal mainstream brand, like Ford, Peugeot, Skoda or Hyundai, not low-cost. Any finer model depends on the model. Opel can be cool (Adam, current Mokka) or economical (Karl, Crossland/new Frontera).
  3. The Manta (on STLA Medium) project is making progress, has not been stopped and there's also a 25,000 € Opel BEV in the works. https://edison.media/opel-faehrt-gradlinig-in-die-zukunft/25247529/ https://www.lifepr.de/pressemitteilung/axel-moerer-funk-und-martina-kefer/opel-chef-unsere-e-autos-werden-noch-guenstiger/boxid/988253
  4. You shouldn't take the core/upper-mainstream/premium/luxury borders too serious. There will always be overlap and exceptions. Fiat has the expensive 500, The "premium" Alfa Junior Ibrida is not more expensive than a Mokka or Puma with similar equipment. Don't forget that the Frontera fills the Crossland–Meriva position and Opel had entry models like the Karl and Agila (rebadged Suzuki before). While I think that the smartphone integration (with special app) is a clever solution I agree that no private buyer will go for that in a 25.000 € car. Maybe fleets will.
  5. Roberta Zerbi said already at the Tonale Concept unveiling that the B-SUV won't look like a smaller Tonale.
  6. Base model without matrix LEDs = only the upper DRLs.
  7. For Speciale and Veloce. I'm also no fan of the wheels apart from the nice 20" (which are too big for every day). They should offer some nice 19". And not every wheel needs the dial/flower theme.
  8. The Grecale suffers from looking a bit boring. The Junior certainly not. Either you love it or hate it.
  9. The 500 Hybrid is a stop gap. Fiat still needs to get its carbon footprint down over the years. A cheaper BEV is important. I wonder when that will arrive. They can't expect to sell a 35.000 € 500 (320 km range) next to a 23.000 € Panda/Uno BEV. The 500 styling might be worth 2–3.000 € with similar specs, but not more. So I hope the new 500 battery/powertrain will arrive in 6–12 months.
  10. With 911 only, Porsche would be no more. They sold 20.000 cars in 1995. It was rescued by Boxster and Cayenne. Now the money maker AFAIK is the Audi Q5 sibling Macan. They sold 320.000 cars in 2023. For me, the current Maseratis are simply not attractive enough to command such high prices. No iconic design, rather conservative for elder men.
  11. Those pictures show nothing new or secret. They are from a promo shooting with actor Tom Wlaschiha ("Das Boot" series).
  12. If they want to keep the Abarth brand alive with more than 50 sales a year, they also have to think about that power range. I'd go for the 1.2 EB3 with hopefully another power step for Abarth and Alfa Junior. The car is tested under all conditions and also the engine is. Can't they more or less simulate the combination?
  13. I think the specific numbers are the result from automated calculations and not rounded by humans. But it's realistic for Alfa that the sales go down after one or two full years.
  14. I expected a new 500 on STLA Small in 2027. This means the current one will have a long life. Not so bad in this case, since the design is still better and cleaner than the 600. It just means they'll never reach a "3 platforms only" matrix in the group. Too bad the visionary Olivier didn't decide for a new MHEV 500 earlier. I hope they started preparing a battery update at least instead of thinking they could keep the current battery/price offer for 15 years.
  15. The Avenger 4xe is 0.6 seconds slower than the Junior Ibrida 136. Why?
  16. They have to reduce CO2 every year already, not just stop ICE in 2035.
  17. Olivier Francois is always full of words, but doesn't deliver. 10 months after the Fiat "no grey" campaign I can still configure the 500 only in white, black, (red) and rosé gold in Germany. Only one strong color.
  18. It's a bit mean to compare the configurator rendering with press pictures. 😅 Let the Junior arrive on the market for a few months and there will be much higher promos. Like always.
  19. The door panels are THE weak spot of the Junior. I hope the Alfa people hear the critics and plan a fast upgrade for that. An additional color choice for the fabric parts wouldn't hurt either. Personally I'd also prefer the glossy interior plastics in matte or aluminium style.
  20. I prefer the yellow or blue interior from Geneva. When will the R5 go on sale finally? It's been teased for years now.
  21. No glimpse of retro design left. But at least it looks better than the Cooper E. That press release is full of bullshit bingo. Long gone are the times of the "Is It Love?" campaign. This is the direct competitor to the Alfa Junior Elettrica and it's technially worse on paper. Only element that's better are the padded door panels front and rear. And most likely more personalisation options.
  22. There's a video with Imparato (Junior presentation) where he says that the Stelvio Q will live on beside the new generation until the electric Q is ready.
