Its exemplary British design remains distinctive and unwavering, while its go-anywhere capability will ensure towing, wading and all-terrain technology surpass any other luxury electric SUV. THOMAS MÜLLER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PRODUCT ENGINEERING, JLR Range Rover Electric will deliver performance comparable to a flagship Range Rover V8 and the all-terrain capability developed in-house by Land Rover experts that has been a hallmark since Range Rover’s inception in 1970. Physical prototype testing is under way, as engineers target the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever created, with a unique active road noise cancellation configuration, sound design and level of cabin comfort. After a year of virtual development spanning front-end robustness, multi-body systems analysis that considers the demand on the chassis, and virtual wading at up to 50km/h, the first physical vehicles have been built. Global on-road testing has started, from Sweden to Dubai, in temperatures ranging from -40C to +50C. The global physical testing programme has been adapted for Range Rover’s first fully electric vehicle to ensure robustness of the electric drive system, including its underfloor, battery durability, chassis integrity and vehicle dynamics tests for thermal derating. New Range Rover Electric will be designed, engineered and built in the United Kingdom, on the flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) in Solihull, alongside existing mild and plug-in hybrid Range Rover vehicles. For the first time, batteries and EDUs will be built and assembled at JLR’s new Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, as Range Rover electrifies ahead of its 2039 net-zero carbon ambition.     GERALDINE INGHAM MANAGING DIRECTOR, RANGE ROVER REVOLUTIONARY DYNAMICS New Range Rover Sport SV’s 6D Dynamics suspension system is the most sophisticated in its class7, debuting a world-first combination of hydraulic interlinked dampers, height-adjustable air springs and pitch control. This revolutionary semi-active system, which removes the need for conventional anti-roll bars, dramatically reduces pitch and roll to maintain a near-level body stance during extreme cornering and acceleration, while also reducing weight, increasing grip, and benefiting comfort and refinement. Riding between 10mm and 25mm lower than other Range Rover Sport models, depending on the drive mode selected, New Range Rover Sport SV’s 6D Dynamics suspension works seamlessly with the suite of advanced chassis and suspension systems. Unique SV-tuned settings are applied to the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Steering, Torque Vectoring by Braking, Configurable Dynamics and Active Locking Rear Differential to deliver a more focused, sports car-like driving experience – especially in the all-new driver-selectable SV Mode. NICK COLLINS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, VEHICLE PROGRAMMES, JLR New Range Rover Sport SV also features specially developed chassis components including a new rear subframe and new suspension links with revised geometry and compliance. A new electronically power-assisted steering rack has the fastest ratio of any Range Rover to date, for enhanced agility and feel. For the first time on a Range Rover, 305-section rear tyres are fitted, which are 20mm wider than the 285-section front tyres. This arrangement, with standard-fit Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tyres, enables a rear-biased dynamic setup enhancing grip, stability and traction. Increased rear roll stiffness also helps deliver immediate steering responses. Demonstrating the combined benefits of these technologies, New Range Rover Sport SV is capable of generating lateral acceleration in excess of 1.1G on all-season tyres. That represents a 22 per cent increase on the previous generation Range Rover Sport SVR on summer tyres and is comparable to track-focused sports cars. Enhancing its on-road dynamic capability, every New Range Rover Sport SV benefits from a specially developed high-performance braking system, with clients able to choose between standard mixed-metal Dual-Cast and optional Carbon Ceramic braking technologies. Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB), available for the first time on a Range Rover, deliver ultimate braking performance with improved resistance to high temperatures, a longer lifespan and 34kg total un-sprung weight reduction versus the uprated Dual-Cast iron brake discs fitted as standard to New Range Rover Sport SV. This reduction in mass at each corner of the car results in even more responsive handling, faster acceleration and improved ride quality. Whichever braking technology is specified, the unique eight-piston Brembo Octyma front calipers are the largest ever fitted to a Range Rover. Developed exclusively for New Range Rover Sport SV and sculpted to complement Range Rover Sport SV’s reductive design, the calipers incorporate a unique cross-shape piston arrangement to maximise braking efficiency. Exclusive customisable caliper colours include Yellow, Red, Carbon Bronze and Black. To further reduce mass, New Range Rover Sport SV clients can choose the first ultra-lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels fitted to a production vehicle. Available as an option, these innovative split five-spoke wheels save almost 9kg per corner – a total of 35.6kg – compared with conventional 23-inch cast-alloy wheels, resulting in improvements to outright performance, handling and ride quality. While incredibly light, they are engineered and tested to the toughest durability and robustness standards – the same as Range Rover’s cast or forged alloy wheels. Maximising the benefit of New Range Rover Sport SV’s uprated dynamic hardware, drivers can intensify the car’s sporting attitude by pressing the new SV Mode button on the steering wheel. A step beyond Range Rover Sport’s existing Dynamic mode, SV Mode optimises the steering, eight-speed automatic gearbox, throttle response, exhaust note and 6D Dynamics suspension system – including lowering the ride height by an additional 15mm – to deliver the most dynamic and visceral experience possible. SV Mode also allows the track-oriented TracDSC stability control programme to be activated, for drivers to more freely explore New Range Rover Sport SV’s dynamic balance. ASSERTIVE DESIGN New Range Rover Sport SV’s high-performance-honed exterior design includes an exclusive airflow-enhanced front-end, reprofiled lower body sides and functional carbon fibre-tipped quad tailpipes for the active exhaust system as focal points of the rear aspect. Carbon fibre detailing on the Range Rover script, front bumper blades, grille surround, bonnet vents and side vents can be supplemented with an exposed finish for the centre section of the carbon fibre bonnet3. Beyond immersion in music, the Body and Soul Seat Wellness programmes can help enhance New Range Rover Sport SV’s front-seat occupants’ mental and physiological wellbeing by influencing heart rate variability (HRV) – the variation in time between each heartbeat. High HRV is indicative of lower stress levels and relaxation. Designed in collaboration with Coventry University’s National Transport Design Centre and the School of Media and Performing Arts, six specially developed tracks – Poise, Soothe, Serene, Cool, Tonic and Glow – could affect passengers’ HRV, either helping to reduce anxiety or improve cognitive response, studies have shown. SV INTRODUCTION LEADS ENHANCEMENTS TO RANGE ROVER SPORT LINE-UP In addition to the introduction of New Range Rover Sport SV, the line-up has received a suite of updates, including a new plug-in electric hybrid with extended EV range, and the integration of the latest generation Pivi Pro4 infotainment technology. Performance and efficiency are enhanced with an updated plug-in electric hybrid powertrain, with the new P550e – replacing the P510e – offering EV range of up to 121km (75 miles) for swifter and more relaxed journeys5, as well as CO2 emissions from 15g/km5. The new P550e electric hybrid with its new transmission set-up joins the Range Rover Sport’s extensive powertrain line-up. When combined with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, the electric hybrid produces 550PS and 800Nm of torque. The enhanced electric motor and transmission make the electric hybrid more responsive than ever, reducing the time it takes to reach 100km/h by 5.0 seconds under pure electric power. Utilising both power sources, the P550e can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds (0-60mph in 4.7 seconds), compared to 5.4 seconds previously (5.2 seconds 0-60mph). Additionally, the P530 V8 powertrain now uses Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology for the first time. The MHEV system delivers increased efficiency by harvesting energy captured when decelerating and braking, and improved responses as the stored energy is redeployed under acceleration. When combined with other benefits of the system, including smoother operation of the start/stop functionality, these attributes deliver an improvement in CO2 emissions. Range Rover Sport’s beautifully crafted and reductive interior has also been enriched with intuitive new technologies. Combining effortless connectivity and the latest touchscreen, the Pivi Pro4 infotainment provides intuitive control of all vehicle functions through the elegant 13.1-inch floating glass display. New sidebars with easy-to-use sliders for the volume and climate control provide immediate and precise operation for key functions directly, whatever menu screen is displayed, and approximately 80 per cent of tasks can be performed within two taps of the home screen. Haptic feedback provides an added level of tactility and communication with the user. Integrated Amazon Alexa voice AI6 and Land Rover voice control systems help drivers to keep their eyes on the road while making changes to the cabin environment. Advanced Software Over The Air capability keeps Range Rover Sport up to date with the latest software. New Country Road Assist technology features for the first time on Range Rover Sport to enhance passenger comfort when using Adaptive Cruise Control. La nuova RR sarà basata sulla nuova architettura MLA (Longitudinal Modular Architecture) che su carta prevede di ridurre drasticamente la massa dell'intera vettura, ma aumenterà la rigidità torsionale e flessionale e quindi la sicurezza. Le dimensioni esterne non dovrebbero distaccarsi dall'attuale, così come la gamma motori, che però non dovrebbe più avere in dote il V8 Benzina di derivazione Ford, per far posto al nuovo 6 cilindri in linea della famiglia Ingenium. Così come addio al V8 Ford-Lion, per avere via libera ai nuovi 6 cilindri diesel con modulo ibrido da 48 V. Ovviamente non mancheranno le versioni Plug-in-Hybrid che molto probabilmente saranno offerte sia con il 4 cilindri 2.0 litri Turbo, sia con il 6 cilindri 3.0 litri Turbo.

The P300e plug-in electric hybrid enables clients to complete their average daily journeys in EV mode, with zero tailpipe emissions*. It is capable of up to 62km (39 miles) of electric-only driving according to the WLTP cycle, with new battery chemistry ensuring improved real-world range of up to 48km (30 miles)4. Every P300e features rapid DC charging capability as standard, for fast top-ups. A further choice of Ingenium petrol and diesel Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) engines provide a comprehensive range of refined, fuel-efficient powertrain options13. CAPTIVATING DESIGN New Range Rover Evoque features a subtle evolution of its reductive exterior design, with unmistakable hallmarks including its coupe-like silhouette, floating roof, continuous waistline and flush deployable door handles. The latest family grille design now provides a unified look across the Range Rover brand. Range Rover Evoque is the only SUV in its class available with KvadratTM 3 wool blend fabric** - a luxurious, tactile and contemporary alternative to leather. Tactility with a contemporary twist is provided by the leather-free KvadratTM 3 wool blend and Ebony perforated Ultrafabrics™ seating, with polyurethane textile inserts featuring a distinctive new perforation. Inspired by bespoke tailoring, the wool blends are 58 per cent lighter than leather and provide a contemporary appearance and tactility. The innovative textile is the subject of extensive in-house durability testing in the Range Rover materials lab. To ensure it provides longevity and robustness, the materials go through 60,000 cycles of abrasion testing – the equivalent of 10 years of use – with UV testing that simulates three years’ exposure to harsh sunlight in just one month. Sophisticated new detailing and traditional leather. Innovative material options are available in addition to traditional leathers, while sophisticated new detailing – including Moonlight Chrome found on the steering wheel, centre console trim and air vents – provides a new air of refinement. Moonlight Chrome complements new trim finishers, which include Technical Light Anodised or Dark Anodised Aluminium (depending on model), with Shadow Grey Ash Veneer providing an elegant finish on Range Rover Evoque Autobiography. The Range Rover Evoque’s colour palette now features Arroios Grey, Tribeca Blue and Corinthian Bronze, while contrast roof options enable clients to express their individuality, with Narvik Black and Corinthian Bronze to choose from. Its exterior character is enhanced further with a total of eight alloy wheel designs up to 21 inches in size6 and five new finishes, with diamond-turned offered on the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography and Dynamic HSE. CONNECTED TECHNOLOGY Following its introduction on the New Range Rover Velar, the Range Rover Evoque features the latest generation Pivi Pro2 infotainment technology. Controlled via an elegant new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen, all major vehicle functions are incorporated into the new display, which appears to float seamlessly within the centre console. Controls for the climate, seating and audio volume are always visible via new sidebars, featuring multi-functional sliding controls on either side. These virtual buttons provide immediate access to frequently used items, including individual temperature controls for the front occupants, cameras, navigation and audio volume. At the beginning of every journey, drivers are presented with a Pre-Drive panel for fast access to commonly used features, such as window demisters and heated seats. Once on the move, it disappears to reveal the familiar three-panel home screen that can be customised with trademark Pivi Pro2intelligence and flexibility. New floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen offers full digital control over key vehicle functions. The next-generation infotainment was the subject of extensive testing and development, both digitally and physically with human testers, to reduce task and interaction time and deliver the most user-friendly experience possible. Approximately 80 per cent of tasks can be performed within two taps of the home screen. Pivi Pro2 supports effortless smartphone connectivitywith Wireless Apple CarPlay™8. Wireless Android Auto® is also supported, while Wireless Device Charging – from a new stowage area in the centre console – provides immediate fast charging and reduces the need for wires. New Range Rover Evoque is also Wi-Fi Enabled with a Data Plan9, ensuring occupants remain entertained and connected. Pivi Pro2 features twin embedded eSIM technology and cloud-based architecture, meaning it provides full access to a range of online apps9 – including Spotify and Deezer – integrated within the infotainment system. Amazon Alexa10 brings a new level of convenience, providing the ability to control various settings and features using natural voice commands while reducing the potential for distraction. Alexa is embedded in Pivi Pro2 and can simply be activated by saying “Alexa” or tapping the Alexa button on the touchscreen. Range Rover Evoque also offers one of the most sophisticated suites of camera technologies in its class** with 3D Surround View, ClearSight Ground ViewTM 18 and ClearSight Interior Rear ViewTM 19 offering greater driver reassurance. SUPERIOR REFINEMENT Customary Range Rover refinement is provided by advanced technologies that promote comfort and wellbeing, in addition to a comprehensive range of curated options packs. New Range Rover Evoque aims to provide the healthiest cabin environment possible, with one of the most sophisticated interior air quality technologies in its class**. Cabin Air Purification Plus is available for the first time on Evoque and an enhancement on the previous system. Available as part of the optional Comfort Pack, or standard on Autobiography, it features PM2.5 Filtration and CO2 Management which helps to promote wellbeing for the whole family, as well as heighten alertness for the driver by monitoring and controlling CO2 levels inside the cabin. It is activated by pressing the Purify button on the Air Quality page within Pivi Pro2 and works to reduce the level of allergens or particulates inside the vehicle. It uses nanoeTM X technology to combat pathogens and help significantly reduce odours, bacteria and allergens, while the Air Quality Index (AQI) app technology allows clients to monitor outside air quality at their location and their destination on screen.15 Enhanced visibility at night is provided by new Pixel LED Headlights with Signature Daytime Running Lights (DRLs)1. Standard on Dynamic HSE and Autobiography, the new system features three times as many LEDs as the previous Matrix LED headlights. Each headlight features four pixel modules, containing 67 precisely controlled LEDs. They accurately adapt to the road conditions ahead to provide the optimum forward beam. Dynamic Bend Lighting uses speed and steering data to respond to the road ahead and illuminate dark corners and verges, while the high beam range can focus light almost half a kilometre in front, for optimum visibility. Able to cast shadows around four oncoming objects and avoid dazzling, Adaptive Driving Beam automatically adapts to vehicle speed, casting a wide beam at low speeds and a more intense, longer beam above 70km/h (43mph). ELECTRIFIED PERFORMANCE New Range Rover Evoque continues to offer a range of plug-in electric hybrid and mild hybrid electric power, delivering fuel-efficiencies and performance. This includes the advanced P300e plug-in electric hybrid, available alongside a range of Ingenium petrol and diesel engines which all feature the latest Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology to boost efficiency and responses13. The P300e electric hybrid offers clients the best of all worlds, enabling Range Rover Evoque drivers to complete their average daily journeys* with zero tailpipe emissions, thanks to an electric-only range of up to 62km (39 miles) from its 14.9kWh battery. The electric hybrid powertrain combines an efficient three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with an 80kW electric motor, providing a total power output of 309PS, 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds (0-60mph in 6.1 seconds). Updated battery chemistry offers an improved real-world driving experience, with an expected real-world electric range of up to 48km (30 miles). On longer journeys, this means a total real-world range of up to 651km (404 miles) with CO2 emissions from 31g/km.4 Rapid DC charging is standard on the Evoque P300e, ensuring swift charges away from home in as little as 30 minutes***, meaning the next electric-only drive is only a short charge away. Using a 7kW home charger, 0-100% charge can be completed in around two hours11. Advanced mild-hybrid electric (MHEV) petrols and diesels complete the line-up. The technology enhances efficiency and responsiveness by using a Belt integrated Starter Generator (BiSG) to harvest energy that is normally lost under braking and deceleration. It is stored in a 48-volt lithium-ion battery beneath the loadspace and is redeployed when accelerating, delivering a more refined operation of the fuel-saving start-stop system. Trademark Range Rover engagement and composure on all terrains is provided by advanced chassis technologies. Adaptive Dynamics – where fitted12 – ensures suspension stiffness is optimised for the driving conditions, improving ride comfort and handling. There’s even a specific calibration for off-road driving, while altering driving parameters via the Configurable Dynamics system delivers exceptional performance and agility on-road. Supreme all-terrain breadth of capability is guaranteed by the intelligent torque on-demand all-wheel drive (AWD) system, providing the optimum torque distribution to suit the conditions, whether driving dynamically on the road or pulling away from a standstill on slippery surfaces. Terrain Response 2® is accessible through Pivi Pro2 and allows the driver to adjust vehicle settings to suit the driving environment, with a choice of Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic and Automatic mode.     La terza generazione del Range Rover Sport debutta su base MLA-Flex, con uno stile minimalista e di certo in linea con quanto visto sulla nuova Range Rover, di recentissimo debutto. All'interno la plancia d'impostazione classica con il medesimo layout del Range, presenta una diversa posizione sia della plancia del clima che del maxischermo infotainment da 13.1'' dotato del sistema Pivi Pro aggiornato all'ultima generazione e azionabile anche tramite Amazon Alexa. La strumentazione, invece, ha uno schermo da 13.7''. Degni di nota sia i sedili a 22 regolazioni, sia l'impianto audio Meridian Signature Sound System (optional) da 1430W dotato di ben 29 altoparlanti. Il passo del Range Sport aumenta sino a 2977mm (+54), mentre il coefficiente aerodinamico registra 0,29cx! I motori, tutti elettrificati, sono un 3.0 Turbo a benzina da 400cv, il 4.4 V8 a benzina di origine BMW con 530cv, due diesel 3.0 a sei cilindri da 300 o 350cv ed infine due Plug-In Hybrid dotati del 3.0 I6 Turbo in due step di potenza da 440 o 510 cv (e rispettivamente 114 e 113 km di autononomia in EV).
